Thing about this show is, people talk about the quiet episodes as if they’re setting up for something huge, but in reality it tends to be the killings/violence which sets up the personal moments.
Agree w/ Eileen, I’m pretty sure Jr will be gone before the season is over. If Paulie does die, I bet you it’s going to be something stupid (like with White Boy Bob in Out of Sight).
Please tell me I wasn’t the only one immature enough to LOL when, just as Danny Baldwin made his move on the fiancee, Paulie (on his cell) says “Tell him to put it in the trunk.”

After his accident he was set up in Florida doing stuff for both NY & NJ families.
My favorite part of this episode was the boat scene and it was great getting more insight into Paulie. That part with Big Pussy was spooky and what was it Paulie asked him? was it: “when my time comes will I be able to stand”
It was “When My time comes, tell me, will I stand up?”
Another great effort. I’ve soured on Paulie for a while but it’s episodes like this that remind me why I appreciated the character, and Sirico, to begin with.

Even if he is plotting something, it would be a pathetic imitation of the power he used to hold. The Junior of seasons past would’ve preferred a shot to the head and a closed casket to withering away pissing himself in a mental institution. That he doesn’t even grasp how sad it is is part of what makes it sad.
Was a good episode. On the boat, if Paulie had admitted to Tony about spreading that joke/rumour/whateveritwas then Tony would have killed him for sure I think. Paulie survives another day damnit.
I don’t know, seeing as how the murder rap had apparently blown over already, I thought it was a bit of a stretch that he was still considering killing him just for being annoying.
The old guys (Paulie and Junior) have never been my favorites. I don’t know who gave them the idea that it’s okay to give Phil, Silvio, and Christopher just one scene a week, but I’m saying right now, it most definitely is not.
I have to stop going over to my dad’s house to watch this with him. Even if he does have HBO HD its not really worth it to have to hear “ooooh he’s gonna kill him” every minute or so. “He’s not going to kill him! Haven’t you been watching this show for the past 10 years!? If they made it look this obvious that he was going to kill him then he’s not going to!” It seems like I have to say this every week. First week it was with Bobby. Last week it was with Christopher. And now Paulie.
Am I wrong in finding it hard to believe that Tony would want to take out Paulie for Ralphie’s death and being an all-around big-mouth? Tony and Paulie have always been mighty tight from what I can remember. Seems that Tony would at least have a come-to-Jesus meeting first with that kind of a friend.
