I thought Janice was going to bring up the time she shot her boyfriend, the psychotic guy who’s name I cant remember. But then Carmela goes “Oh, one time he did slap AJ, but he felt REALLY BAD!” which made me laugh, and also reminded me of one of the times the actor that plays AJ performed well. Its been interesting watching the kids grow up and go down their seperate paths.

All the evidence you named above makes me think that Tony will go down when Bobby gets caught for the murder. With his sense of morality, he may sing on Tony for witness protection as payback for his constant disrespect for Janice and Bobby over the years as Carmella pointed out.

She kinda did, she just said that he “went his own way” instead of “I shot him and Tony had him chopped up in a butcher shop.”
AJ is the new Janice to me. His every scene just makes him more and more of a douchebag, but he is just written so believably. I absolutely HATE the fact that I can relate to so much of his bullshit.
The episode did set up for somekind of downfall of Tony Soprano gradually progressing through out the season, I dont know if thats a throw off, but usually the first episode does set up the way the rest of the season is gonna progress.
It looked as if Bobby might have been wearing gloves, but I will have to watch it again. And this might be a stretch, but if he forgot to put gloves on when he loaded the gun the shell casing could have fingerprints on it.

Well, if Tony “goes down this season”, I for one don’t want to see him killed off. I can’t imagine being ok with it if that happens.
Both Janice and AJ have long been on my damn nerves. But that is pretty much Janice’s purpose, so I can appreciate Aida for successfully portraying that in her role. As for AJ, that character is more of an annoying little prick than he needs to be.
I was bored last night and went to Televison without pity’s Sopranos forum and in the spoiler section some stuff people are discussing
- Janice had molested Tony when they were young
- The guy Bobby killed will turn out to be Janice’s son Harpo

I thought about the Harpo possibility when I first saw watched the episode, but it would be way to soap-opera for the Sopranos. Or so I hope.
My prediction for next week: It will open with Tony and Carmela coming home to a trashed house and freaking out on AJ.
I would totally go see “Cleaver”.

Good way of setting up conflicts for the future and reintroducing everyone that didn’t get a lot of face time last week. Loved Christopher explaining to Carm about his story credit ("That’s just for the Writer’s Guild health insurance."
Is AJ fixing to be toast? Blanca knows he’s a tool, and AJ’s stupid enough to do something crazy when he gets his head gassed up (like going after Junior with a gun early on in season 6). What if she leaves him for some other dude, or just fucks him, AJ finds out, and does some dumb shit that ends up getting him killed?
It’s worth mentioning that I’m batting zero on predictions.

Never make a prediction that something like that from any episode of Sopranos will be followed up on the following week.

I always loved Sacks… My favorite part about him was his utter and undying love for his wife. The way that’s always been handled made him one of my favorite characters on the show.

Thing is, it always seems like they set up for a big brawl (in this case, Phil’s had enough and it looks like he wants to kill everybody on each side of the river), but there’s always something that stops it from happening. Maybe not this time, but I really doubt there’s a huge war that occurs. At best, Tony and Doc figure that Phil has it out for both of them, and they get together and end Phil.
Brilliant episode, last night. A few things;
Clearly, AJ’s girl is pregnant. Second, I think the issues between Tony and Chrissy will tie into Phil’s issues with Tony. Remember, Phil warned that Tony could loose a loved one very soon (and in my opinion Tony B doesn’t count.)
Also, they revealed Tony’s out last night with the “terrorism” angle.
Clearly, Chase is finally going to let that war between NJ and NY happen. As for previews for next week’s show, I’ll be devastated if Paulie bites it. I can live with alot of people biting it on that show…but not Paulie and Sil.
Still, one of the better episodes. A lot was set into place with that episode…

I hear ya, but this feels different for some reason. It feels like it’s gonna get really bloody. I know we’re used to crazy Russians running free in the forest and never showing up again, but this has been building for seasons.
My predictions are always wrong, which is part of the reason I love this show. Great episode, good to see the Cleaver stuff pull off. I was sure that the Brooklyn hit was going to be a dream after Sil went all Godfather, but I was once again wrong. The thing I was most suprised at, though, was that Little Carmine appears to be smarter than I, or Tony, thought.
Prediction for next week: there will be a lot of hemming and hawing about whether to whack Paulie, but in the end it will be called off. Even money on him ending up dead for different reasons, though.
