Great episode. The christian centric episodes area always stronger than Sean centered ones.
Christian’s meeting with his mother was a pretty amazing scene as was the new carver victim.
Also, the fact that christian purposely drew the carver out was quite cold hearted and genius on dr. troy’s part.
I like the theory about Liz, but she has always been shown as the voice of reason and one of the few “good” people in this show. While that would make her being the carver even more shocking, I think its SO contradictory to the character that they would have to do some good explaining about why she turned to this route.

Saying its “someone we know” doesn’t equate to it being one of the major player. Usually when producer’s say something like this, it’s some bit player that appeared a few times in the background of in an episode. I’d be very shocked to learn that the Carver was Christian, Sean, Julia, Matt or Liz.

I loved Gina’s negotiating tactics. The fact that she was making out with people in an outdoor port-o-potty, however, is just disgusting.
Sean has completed his downward spiral into a complete and utter asshole. When he chided Liz for leaving, I just wanted her to smack him. Didn’t he just say days before that she could come back anytime? Not only did he discount Liz’s talents as a doctor, he also threw in a dig at Julia by saying the project would fail.
I thought they would do more with Christian and the slashed up detective this week. I guess they are gonna let the Carver plot lay low for awhile.
I want to see more of the other doc, too. He was finally getting interesting.
I think Sean was a little more upset with Liz for going to work with Julia. If she had gone anywhere else he probably would have been more understanding.

If that’s “making out”, then every girl I’ve ever dated has been off by about 3 feet.
This was the first episode in a while where I actuaaly needed them to explain the metaphor between patient and doctor. I was pretty sure they weren’t saying Julia was stiff in the sack.
Speaking of, as much as Sean has been an ass recently, Julia’s been one all season (or longer). He comes to apologize and wish her luck, and she tells him to go F himself (although I guess he could just buy Gina some mini-blinds in trade instead). If they reveal Matt as the Carver down the road, having those two as parents will make it pretty believable.

Well, I wanted a gender nuetral term because Gina also hooked up with the lesbian chick.
Julia told Sean to fuck off because he treated her like shit during her propsal. Sean could have easily said at that meeting that he supported her emotionally, but couldn’t financially. But he didn’t. Not only did he not back up Julia when Christian went on his tirade, Sean then went on to discount her abilities, citing how she dropped out of med school twice. I’d say there was plenty of reason for her to be pissed at Sean.
I agree with Farsight that the patient metaphor didn’t scream out the theme of the episode this time…this time it was just all muddled.
I like where they are going with Julia making it big for herself. Gina blowing all the construction workers is quite hilarious…and a bit disconcerting given her HIV status.
The cremator guy…he was just freaky.
Liz leaving was a long time coming, but it was pretty good to have her join up with Julia.
Also, what the fuck happened in the end. Did sean break his deal with the guy? Why would he even keep that shit a secret? I just didn’t get that whole garbage exchange between sean and the dude. This wasn’t a very good episode individually, but it laid some interesting groundwork for the future.

Interesting. Does Christian propose? And what could break them up? Christian has and will cheat on Kimber. Another Carver attack perhaps?
It is too easy. That’s why we all guessed him at first and think it a let down if it becomes true.
Personally, I don’t think its him because why would he work at a place that fixes the damage the Carver has done? Kinda defeats the purpose of slashing people’s faces, if you are just going to turn around and fix them up.
Bland? Really? They spent half the show talking about using semen as an all-natural facial. They had a woman who has her sons jerk off into a jar so she has a fresh supply every night. In addition, they had a freak guy who thinks of one of his healthy legs as an extra appendage and we were shown a disgusting montage of the lengths he would go to chop it off. We saw Quentin confront Christian on his bogus moral posturing, Christian let go of Sean and ask Kimber to marry him, Sean complete his downward spiral into a midlife crisis, and Julia emerge as her own woman seperate from Sean. And, they had a cameo from my favorite freakfest – Joan Rivers! I thought this episode was great.

That and why would he fly from Atlanta to Florida and attack someone then fly home again only to fly back again and attack someone then fly back only to fly back again and attack someone then fly back again only to fly back again and attack someone then fly back… all in the hopes of getting asked to work for Sean and Christian so he wouldn’t have buy all these plane tickets? I don’t think it’s him.
I coulod see it maybe being Julias boy toy from season one (?) because they fired him but even that’s a stretch. I don’t see it being Famke Jenssen’s character either because what reason does she have really to attack Sean and Christian? The only person I could think of would be Gina. But thats only because she just all of a sudden showed up again… why else bring her back? Yes she has the business with Julia but thats just to throw us off.
That’s all the thinking about it I’m going to do. I’m going to try and not think about it so I can either be surprised or let down.
Julias boy toy- hope not, with his dreadful acting mug and stilted line delivery, he should be the next victim!
Dr - easy, but a safe bet. Theyll humanise him for the series and revea at the end.

Alec Baldwin - too fat. May be available to commit to the part tho (hee hee).
Rhona Mitra - interesting, but not strong enough. I want to see what happened with her!!!
Bottom line - we’ll find out at some point (to be honest I’m surprised they held it out for the third season).
The important thing to ask yourself is motive for Christian. Why would they want to do it to Christian. The killer warned Shaun, but wanted to rape Troy - theres a reason for this somewhere.
