Well the events this week seem to play heavily into the “Carver is a woman” theory. I’m thinking maybe Kimber but that’s just the obvious reaction to the planting of Christian’s fluid at the scene of the murder. Something like that makes her seem to easy to pin the crimes on.

Really? I called it as soon as the guard told Christian the Carver struck again.
I am really baffled by the condom being planted at the scene. I don’t know that it points to the Carver being a woman. I think it points to someone trying to set up Christian. The how and why is the mystery to me. I was definitely with Christian when he claimed it was the detective trying to get back at him. She certainly seems devious enough to do something like that.
I thought the scene with Christian and his mother was pretty emotional. Having your mother think that you could be a serial killer despite her never meeting him before then is probably the most painful thing one can imagine. What happened to unconditional love or even benefit of the doubt?
Speaking of which, I can’t believe Sean doubted Christian. Yes, finding out Matt was not his son would shatter his ability to trust. But how do you comapre lying about a child to protect ones feelings to being able to lie about being a murderer. That’s a huge stretch. I can’t believe that Sean would even entertain those thoughts.
Oh, and while it is certainly a horrific and selfish act, Christian leaking his story to the media so the real Carver would be drawn out is quite genius. His situation was so desperate, with the DNA evidence and all. I can’t wait to see how this Carver storyline wraps up!
I thought Kimber would be the next victim, I knew it had to be a known character once Christian walked into the room. But it was still a “DAMN!” moment.
Kimber’s not the Carver. Wrong body type, and she’s the happiest character in the show. She likes her job and has her man. Plus, she likes beauty.
Roma Maffia as the Carver is actually pretty interesting. She’s the only female in the show whose build and voice could match what we’ve seen with any believability. She has a clear animosity towards the superficial nature of their work. I’m not onboard this theory, but it’s not crazy.
As for the used condom… we don’t know the cop didn’t plant that. Even if we accept that she really thought he was the killer, it doesn’t mean she wouldn’t plant such evidence… it might make it even more likely. And she’s clearly disturbed enough to plant evidence. I’m not even sure that was really Christian’s mother.
Sean’s a dick. Note how his big concern in this episode was the business. When Christian talks about taking a loan against the business, Sean looks like he just asked him to cut off his own tongue. And then he had the nerve to look down on Christian for calling the media? Wow, what an ass.
I don’t even think Christian did anything wrong. The news was going to get out, as the cops were not going to let him go. Calling the press is certainly selfish, but when almost everyone else turns their back on you, I’d say a little selfishness is understandable. Plus Christian managed to save a nice girl from being attacked, by pushing the cop into the next victim’s role. It’s a win-win!
I think the Carver is Liz and here is why
2.Hey they were gonna have a kid and she was artifically inseminated with Christians sperm maybe she had some left to frame him for a short time.
3.She does have medical knowledge and she is an anthesthesiologist(sp) so she knows the right dosages to give to paralyze people.
4.Who was in charge of putting the fake victim under? She was, maybe she did it on purpose because she knew she wasnt a carver victim and to punish her a little and torture he before she eventually killed her.
Who actually besides Sean, Christian, the new bi doctor ,the fake victims lawyer and Liz even knew that the fake victim was infact faking.
and finally hey she is a lesbian ya know she knows how to work a strap on if thats what used(LOL)

actually christian never lied about matt to protect ones feelings because he never knew matt was his kid. he only withheld the truth about having sex with julia. i’m with ya though, sean was extremely cold and a total fucking dick to christian.

pleasssssssssssse stop your theories about the carver’s body type and the voice. the carver’s body type isn’t even remotely close to liz’s anyways if you want to get all technical. since when has the carver been short and pudgy?
well this week’s episode actually brought up a clue that the carver could possibly be matt. couldn’t the semen they found be his if it was a match for christian?
Even though I could see Liz being the Carver I think it would be a decision that would cause the show a great deal of heat. Every gay character on this show is usually evil or psychotic so to take the one normal gay lead and turn her into a serial killer would probably be a move that would come under fire. This program isn’t shy about stepping on toes so anything is possible, and out of all the women suspects she’d be my choice for now.

Don’t be dense. It’s irrelevant who the actual actor in those scenes is. Either they’re now using an actor at least SIMILAR to who the real Carver will be, or they’re being incredibly stupid and lazy. I guess I give them more credit than you do.
I’m not saying it’s possible to pick out the exact person from what we’ve seen and heard of the Carver, but if he pulls off his mask and it’s a skinny girl with big boobs, I’m going to laugh hysterically until I shut the show off forever.

Perhaps, although it wouldn’t exactly match Christian if it were Matt’s, but it’s suspicious that a condom was only left at this crime scene. I’d still lean towards the cop planting it. The Carver planting it wouldn’t make sense either, since apparently the Carver was not happy about Christian getting credit.
well i never believed it to be matt anyways because as you said about the appearance of the carver it would be “incredibly stupid and lazy”. they’d simply be attempting to shock the audience which would be cheap in my books. how is it dense thinking the voice and appearance isn’t really the person or someone similar in size to who’ll eventually be revealed as the carver? it doesn’t necessarily have to be the exact match. again many movies and tv show’s gets some random dude to jump into a suit. you’re way over analyzing it.

Actually I dont think the fake Carver victim was released to the press. Unless that was done off camera. So to me the Carver had to be someone who knew she faked it meaning someone at Macnamara/Troy or the lawyer. I could be wrong though its just my theory on who it could possibly be. There’s a huge difference between extraneous information, and completely contradicting scenes we’ve already seen. They’ve shown us the Carver. If they contradict what they’ve shown, they’re hacks. I don’t think they’re hacks. That’s the logic I’m using. I’m assuming they’re at least following that basic rule of storytelling, otherwise we’re all wasting our time even thinking about who it is. If nothing we’ve seen matters, the Carver could just as easily be Joan Rivers.
Call me a deluded optimist, but I’m expecting more than that from this show.

Christian knew for several weeks (maybe months) prior to Sean finding out. And I could be wrong, but I don’t think Sean ever found out that Christian didn’t know he was the father until recently. But yes, lying about sleeping with your friend’s wife would rattle anyone’s trust also.

Oh ok cool but i still think its Liz. The other points I brought up seem pretty valid. Then again no one will really surprise me really.
I really think that the Carver will be someone who hasn’t been introduced yet. All the main actors have contracts. Having any one of them turn out to be the Carver would mean, I would think, that their character gets killed or is jailed. Also, if it were Christian or Sean, the whole show would cease because they certainly wouldn’t go on practicing together.
I don’t think there’d be much point in having this storyline if it was going to be someone who hasn’t been introduced. It will be someone who has appeared before.
The point is that it causes strife in the office, drama between Sean and Christian (Christian didn’t really want to take on the pro bono cases), and is a sensational storyline to keep viewers tuning in. Christian’s sexcapades lasted two seasons, but now he’s settled down with Kimber and Sean’s happy family has been dismantled and they’ll take their time resolving that. There’s nothing else to hold this season together really, so you bring in an outside element to keep the partners busy until its time to revist their old storylines.
The Carver storyline has done all that but it has also had people who watch the show playing the guessing game as to who it will end up being. If that mask were to come off and it ended up being a new face it would be pretty anti-climactic.

I guess. That never really occurred to me. I could care less who the Carver is. I’m more concerned with how his/her actions affect our protagonists. Of course, if the Carver turns out to be someone we know, that would make the storyline sweeter. But I honestly don’t think it will be any of the major players. At best it will be a minor character like Julia’s boy toy.
