That’s the first time I can recall them ever failing to aid someone cosmetically (although they’ve had people die on them). It was a little jarring.
What syndrome did that guy have? I’m trying to find it on-line through episode guides, but haven’t had any luck.
I find myself in a love/hate affair with Sean. I love him, and yet… he can be such a jackass at times. With Christian, it’s expected, but with Sean, it feels like betrayal.
And that girl is no Megan O’Hara… even if she did flip Sean’s “you are neglected” trigger. Looks like she’ll be back…
Christian did hurt my heart with that final scene, purposely being so callous about Sean’s difficulty with his new son. Still trying to distance himself from Sean, in particular, or just from people, in general ( moreso than normal )?
So, how long do we think it will be until Julia finds out?
First things first. What up with all the man-ass this year? This is the 3rd week in a row I’ve had to see Troy’s backside. Combine that with Mario Lopez and Sean and it’s out of control. They better have some keyster play involving Kimber and Sanaa Lathan down the road to make up for all this madness.
Good episode though. Sean blew it, he really likes to torture himself.
I know it’s not right but I laughed pretty hard at Troy’s reaction to Liz’s dismissal. “Fire the bitch. She’s a man-hater.”
I agree. They’ve reached there quota of man-ass. No more, please. Shouldn’t Mario Lopez be busy practicing for Dancing with the Stars (no formal training, my ass)?
For some reason, the pathos filled close of this episode made me angry that there wasn’t five more minutes of screen time than just about any t.v. cliffhanger in recent memory. Christian and Sean are seriously sliding into some dark places.
Wouldn’t it have been easier to find a real pterodactyl baby than to use fake looking plastic prosthetics (unless they were real, in which case I will feel like a heel).
Don’t worry Overlord, I also thought the dinosaur hands looked extremely fake.
I’m fine with all the man ass, but I love me some ladies boobies as well. I’ll be fine if they flip the switch for a little while.
I laughed my ass off with everyone critiquing Christian’s sex techniques and lovehandles. “Do you make every girl say you’re a hot piece of ass?”
The Peter Dinklage cameo was great. I thought the show would brush the whole deformed baby thing aside, but it looks like Julia may have second thoughts about the surgeries. I’m betting that’ll cause more conflict with Sean.
I don’t know about the babysitter storyline. Seems almost too soap opera-y, even for a show like this.
As mentioned, the ending was handled so well. The look of disappointment on Sean’s face definitely showed teh growing riff between he and Christian.
That was a lot of fucked-up in one episode.
Dinklage was great, Bisset scared me in a good way and that damned dog business scared me in a bad way. Ow.
I can’t wait till next week…
Crazy shit all the way around. Stolen kidneys, men who kill dogs out of jealousy, and best of all Robert Lasardo doing what he does best: Being a crazy tattoed guy.
I’ll be glad to see some Kimber, but overall I’m dreading next week.
That trip into Sean’s Frakked Psyche was terrific. Of course Megan would be the angel and tell him that she’s still looking after him.
And once again, Escobar “comes around” to tell Sean to stop being a pussy and to be a man.
Also, Christian and Liz… I love how they can pull together for each other, even when they snipe at each other like they do. Like brother and sister.
And did I mention, Megan? I’m pretty spoiled about things, but that I didn’t know was happening.
Anyone notice how they ALWAYS play really creepy music whenever the scene takes place in Connor’s room? I know it really caught my attention last week… the music almost felt Twin Peaksian (a bit).
What is going to happen with Sean? This episode ended with him giving off some strange juju…
There was just all sorts of creepy last night. I’m curious to see if the whole kidney thief thing is going to be connected to Jacqueline Bisset’s business and all that. If not, then it was a really weird aside.
I saw all the commercials with the woman and her husband and how it has to look exactly the same and all that…I never guessed that it was from her f***ing the dog. Then when I caught on, I yelled “she’s f***ing the dog!” to the TV screen. My roommate couldn’t help but watch till at least the next commercial.

No shit. I knew the lady was lying about how she got her injury from the get go, but as soon as the husband mentioned the open peanut butter by the bed I put two and two together. What a sicko! As an aside, wasn’t that Laura Ingel?
Dinklage is a great addition to the cast. I love his character.
I’m curious if they are going to merge Matt’s Scientology plot with Julia’s postpartum medication plot.
Also, while I like Escobar and Megan as characters, I wish they could of had a better way of showing Sean’s guilt and insecurities than the hash brownie scene. It just felt so out of place.
The kidney plot was fine. It’s probably not connected to any of the main storylines, but that’s okay. The show does that sometimes.

See, I felt that fit in with Sean’s character pretty well. It’s already been established that he imagines conversations with others ( Escobar during the Carver brouhaha and Adele Coffin’s head during the emotional trauma with Megan ) when he needs “help”. Escobar has told him to pony up and be a “man” before…
And with Megan, Sean (and the show, okay, and me) have practically canonized her. She was perfect: intelligent, kind, loving and tragic. The tragedy, especially, is what made her the perfect affair for Sean (and I was always of the mind that she would’ve been better for him than Julia, anyway). So, given that he thinks of her as a saint, and he’s remembering her because he’d cheated on Julia again (he even mentioned Megan’s name to Christian in the beginning of the ep), it makes perfect sense that she play the angelic role. She’s the closest thing we’ve had to a “good” person, even with the affair with Sean…
Since the overwhelming theme of the show last night was temptation (Christian/cake/Michelle, Liz/woman at the bar, Sean/Monica, Melissa Gilbert’s character and the dog, Julia/medication, the mural on Connor’s wall), the whole angel/devil/temptation/apple vision worked - although I could understand how it could be construed as perhaps a bit too heavy-handed.
Plus, I’ll take Megan any way I can get her. I miss her.
