watch the multiplayer preview on IGN yesterday. there is an Orbital Laser called the Hand of God. nothing better than summoning a bolt of light to smite your enemies.
I was hoping we would come together like the first few months of Halo 2 and kick some xbl ass.

My EB cancelled tonight’s Midnight release.
Gamestop cancelled their midnight release as well, but that’s because they called me and told me to pick it up today at 4.
This is why XBL is a pain for Brits. We don’t get the game until the 17th November. Which gives most Americans at least a week and a half to get good at the game and destroy all of us poor souls who’ve only just picked up the game.
Gamestop called me (twice) last night to tell me to come pick it up this afternoon. Hope they weren’t lyin’.

wow. gamespot is notoriously tough to impress (which I like). a 9.6 from them is impressive.
And yea, I don’t know what is up with the shipping plans, but I dont know of any store that had a midnight release. I hope to get it this evening.
Also, if any of you LA guys are interested, Cliffy B is going to be at the eb games at Universal Citywalk today signing shit. I dont see myself going, but I figure it might be one of the earlier places to get the game if you are in LA

Unfortunatley for me, this month I have to buy x-mas gifts for my family as well as my girlfriends’ family so this month I can’t buy any games. Hopefully I can get my hands on this game thru gamefly.
unfortunately, it looks like matchmaking will still be “broken” in order for epic to be able to apply individual ranking scores to each player when it comes to the ranked games.
Long story short, we won’t be able to join a ranked game with a pre-picked party of 4 ala halo 2. Apparently, according to the TrueSkill algorithm, the only way that would be allowed is if the endpoint ranking allocation was equal across the board for the entire party of 4…but EVERY xbox 360 game so far has done it on an individual basis meaning we can’t play with friends in a ranked game to avoid “cheating”.
the good news, we can still apparently join up in unranked matches as parties of 4
