This movie was aces. My wife and I enjoyed the bejesus out of this last night. Was if KKBB good? No, but almost. Almost!
If KKBB is a home run, TNG is a solid triple. Considering how most of the films this Summer have been strikeouts…
NICE GUYS was a slight curveball from Black. I think in about 5 years everyone will recognize it as the Genre masterpiece that it is. Almost like De Palma often did later on, Black is commenting on his own legacy and playing with tropes he invented or at least popularized.

I enjoy both films but Nice Guys really struck a cord.
The Nice Guys does have a better ending than KKBB.

AGot the Blu and watch this again over the weekend. The ending at the bar really is a blatant set up for a sequel or a tv show I suppose. A TV show doesn’t work though unless it’s on HBO, Starz, etc…with the original actors.
Still can’t get over how funny Gosling is in this. And the Crowe/David fight is pretty good.
