- Almost every sitcom on TGIF had an episode where the family went to Disney World. It existed merely to showcase helicopter shots of the rides, and to promote Disney theme parks.
- Cody from Step By Step went on to beat the fuck out of his wife and go to jail.
- When they added Stefan to “Family Matters” they ruined the show.
Three memories from Full House.
-
Stephanie got more ogre-like in appearance as she grew older.
-
DJ got chubbier and chubbier. And more hungry for men.
-
Steve dresses like a gay woman.
-
“Teen Angel” was one of the fucking best sitcoms ever…and they cancel it.
-
That episode of “Teen Angel” with Dee Schneider of Twisted Sister kicked ass when they had him and Mark Metcalf at the end discussing old times.
-
Teen Angel WAS NOT TGIF. Teen Angel was part of ABC’s attempt to cash in on the memories TGIF. Neither was Sabrina the teenage ho-bag.
-
TGIF was and always will be: Full House, Family Matters, Step By Step, and Boy Meets World.
-
Topanga. Seriously. How hot was she? Pretty fucking hot.
- “Did somebody say… wood?”

I’ve gotta disagree Rath. The original lineup was always the best: Full House, Family Matters, Perfect Strangers, and Mr Belvedere.
Boy Meets World is amusing, but mostly shit. It was funnier when Topanga was a weirdo, heaven’s gate-type girl.
Aw yeah…“Mr. Belvedere” has GOT to be put in season box sets on DVD…
“well, don’t be ree-dic-u-lous.” How can you top Balki from Mepos and Perfect Strangers. Well, you can’t, end of story.
Wasn’t Just the Ten of Us on TGIF at some point?
Posted this in another thread already but:
The one-two punch of the greatest(and by greatest I mean dumbest) Full House episodes.
First, the one where Uncle Jesse’s grandfather comes to stay with them and DIES! Papooli!!!
The episode after that was the STAVROS episode. Uncle Jesse’s cousin STAVROS comes and stays with the family. He cons the kids out of money, tries to commit fraud at the Smash club and tries to fuck Aunt Becky. Best of all, STAVROS is played by John Stamos WEARING A MUSTACHE!!!
I actually looked it up, anyone who wants to watch the classic stupidity and bad acting can see both episodes back to back starting at 9:00PM on Nickolodeon, Wednesday March 31st. I’ll be watching.

If your looking for the originals they are…
Perfect Strangers, Full House, Mr. Belvedere, and Just the Ten of us, and ran from 1987-89…
Mr. Belvedere was replaced by Family Matters in 1989…
Just the Ten of us was replaced by Dinosaurs in 1990…
Step by Step replaced Perfect Strangers in 1991…
Boy Meets World replaced "Dinosaurs in 1993…
I think that Sabrina started in 1996, … end quote
**I remember this succession as well. But the strongest line-up was Family Matters, Full House, Step By Step, Boy Meets World.
And let’s not forget that Family Matters spinned off from Perfect Strangers because Harriet Winslow was the elevator operator in Larry & Balki’s building. AND Just the Ten of Us spinned from Growing Pains. The dad’s character (Coach Lubbock) was Mike Seaver’s basketball coach. I know too much about this crap.**
Cut. It. Out!!
I can’t tell you how quickly i’d plunk down money for a Boy Meets World or Full House or Perfect Strangers or Family Matters box set.
OMG! Dinosaurs! I loved that show.
“Not the mama…not the mama!”
Loved Perfect strangers. *sigh*
Those were the days…
oh and btw, the dude from “Step by Step.” Brandon call, he was followed out of a club and was shot. He did survive.. I think he works at a gas station somewhere in Cali now.
Verb, Boy Meets World is coming out in August.
“Don’t be re-dic-cue-los!”
Seriously, I would definitely do Balki’s “Dance of Joy” if Perfect Strangers ever came out on DVD. And it would kick even more ass if they got Mark Linn-Baker and Bronson Pinchot to do a commentary on some of the episodes.
I’m also one of those who watched Mr. Belvedere all the way through and would love to see it on DVD.
I wish I had a Mr. Feeny in my life to teach me all of life’s lessons. And to follow me through every single step of my education. From middle school to college.
Yikes, maybe I don’t.
“I’m the baby, gotta love me!” Everybody loved Dinosaurs.
I wanted to bang Stacy Keenan from “Step-by-Step.”
