BUT, I’ve always thought those shows existed in the same universe-Full House, Step By Step, Perfect Strangers, & Family Matters. Then Stamos shows up as himself on “Step By Step” and screws it up…
I’m pretty sure Family Matters is a spinoff of Perfect Strangers. Wasn’t the mom on Family Matters the elevator woman on Perfect Strangers? We need a TGIF Reunion show.
Yes, then Urkel showed up in “Step By Step” and “Full House”.
The only TGIF shows I was ever familiar with were Family Matters, Step by Step, Full House, and Boy Meets World. If I had to pick a favorite, I’d choose Full House. I loved the early episode where Jesse tries to justify his manhood by riding his motorcycle on the edge of a tall building. The dramatic music makes it all the more poignant. Though Family Matters is a close second as favorites go.
You know, I have a special place in my heart for Waldo Geraldo Faldo.

The TGIF shows were always great when they brought on some no-namer pop singer to guest star. Case in point- Full House. Anyone remember when DJ and Stephanie fought over the affections of that singer that recorded a song for them? That was heartbreaking for them. The singer offered to just be friends with DJ and Steph. He was never seen on the show again.
Remember Stephanie’s friend Gia? So fucking hot.

On the chronology, I guess I was off on the timing of Family Matters, but those were the 4 strongest shows there, I was just off by a bit. I’d have to go with the post-Just the 10 of Us lineup.
