I read a few interviews with Parker and stone in which they wouldn’t release details of the season premire because of the potential for controversy. From that description, they might be right.
I wish they hadn’t released details and just let people be surprised.
Of course, they may be just messing with the viewers.

Haven’t seen any TV promos yet. But South Park Studios has a picture up of Stan’s dad being chased by a bunch of Rednecks in a pickup truck.
The one promo I’ve seen has Cartman in the hallway at school screaming about how the “race wars” are starting.
“Race War! Race Wars! Shit is going down! It’s on!”
I can’t wait, especially because Cartman sounds like he’s been waiting his whole life to say those words.
Gotta be in response to the banning of the N word in parts of NYC and NJ.

It had its moments, but pretty tame by South Park standards, especially considering the subject matter. Still, it made a valid point.

It was a decent episode, but it seemed to coast a bit on the fact that they were getting to say “nigger guy” a lot. The stuff with the midget was funny at parts as well, but they didn’t really go anywhere with it and again seemed to just kind of coast on the concept. Still a good episode though, but I just that this was a warm up episode for the new season.

Agreed - this episode was very tame.
Still, it had a few laughs. Honestly, the most shocking thing to me was the clip they added to the opening. I can’t believe that we will see a bloated Cartman shitting in his mother’s face while playing World of Warcraft. . . every week.
This was far and beyond better than the last half of season 10
remind me again when it became ok for intelligent white guys to start dropping the n-bomb as long as they are using it in an attempt at humor/sarcasm?
Everything’s okay if it’s funny. And for the most part, this episode was.
In particular, the scene with Randy mournfully explaining to the room full of black people that they’ll never understand what discrimination feels like was pretty goddamn great.

the episode did have laughs, but its hard for me at least to not have a double standard when it comes to the n-word and comedy (where literally everything else is fair game). I guess it just bothers me that trey and matt and their white writing staff is coming up with these ideas but have legitimate thought behind it…but 75% of their audience will just take it at face value.
I am slightly afraid to log onto Xbox Live for the next few days because I am sure I will be called a “n—er guy” at least 5,000 times.
