I love this show, but it does need to end. They’ve pretty much gone full circle with all the characters. I can’t wait to see how they wrap it up though.
I’m as excited for the show as you are, Diva, but what is up with the timeslot? Is this HBO’s way of saying they don’t care about the show anymore? What’s wrong with the usual Sunday timeslot? I know Entourage is premiering the day before this does, but that’s only 1/2 hour, and Deadwood should be over by then, so it looks like Sundays will suck on HBO for a while, unless they have something new coming to Sundays that I don’t know about.
i thought the show was great the first two seasons, but the third season really put me off of it. last season the show redeemed itself a bit and hopefully it will go out with a good final season.

Well, this is HBO, and it’s the final season, so I’m sure there will be many deaths, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Nate was one of them.
6 ft under is one of the few shows i’ve never stopped watching even though it got somewhat dull and what-not for quite awhile… ill be sad to see it go but i don’t mind seeing it go out if it’s on a good, entertaining note… i cancelled hbo since it was rarely watched but may have to renew to catch this final season in HD… rather than wait for the dvd or downloading it after it airs…

I can only pray now that Nate and Brenda are back together for good that he is out of this phase. They ran his character in the ground the last couple of seasons and really made me dislike him. I couldn’t really sympathize with what he was feeling because he got on my nerves so much.
I’m another one that’s been watching it since the beginning and stuck with it, even through its slower spots. I’m glad to see the story of the Fishers coming to an end and am really looking forward to this new season (no matter what night it is on).

How did the fourth season end? I watched it up until David got his ass stomped by that creep.Was that ever resolved? That was one of the most devestating episodes I have seen in ANY show.
I think the show should end with it all being made up in some autistic child’s head while he/she is looking at the spinning rims of a hearse.

David finally confronted his attacker in jail and tried to forgive him, but the guy was less than friendly and wanted David to get him out of jail.
Brenda went back to Nate after admitting to Joe that she’d slept with Nate. Joe freaked out and left the house they purchased together.
Nate went to Lisa’s sister’s place and discovered the truth behind Lisa’s mysterious death. It turns out that Lisa was involved with her sister’s husband in an affair and went she attempted to tell him it was over, he killed her in the heat of passion (or something along those lines). He admits all this to Nate in their house before pulling a gun from the desk and shooting himself in the head in front of Nate and Barb (who is curled up on the stairs nearby, where she also hears his confession.)
I am having trouble remembering where the storylines of Claire and Mrs. Fisher left off.
HBO usually re-airs the preceding season of a show prior to the premiere of a new one, I’d keep a lookout to see if they’ll be re-airing Season 4 soon, since the new season premieres in early June. They may have already started airing them. Also, if you have the option, HBO on Demand could probably get you those episodes you missed.
They are currently re-airing the 4th season on Saturday nights @9 on HBO2. They’re about 3 or 4 episodes in.

Claire’s art work got noticed and she premeired her work at a famous art gallery. Her ex-boyfried freaks out because her art work is based on stuff they did when they were a couple and he wants credit for it. Claire also becomes a self-obssessed, ego-maniac, coke-head and destroys all her friendships – Edie and the other chick who was living with the Fischers, and the guy she slept with (Remember “grinding the corn”? ). I think Claire hooks up with Brenda’s brother after he turns out to be her substitute art teacher. Lastly, Mrs. Fischer’s husband turns out to be bat-shit loony. He builds himself a nuclear bomb shelter and moves in there. For some reason, I can’t remember any one’s names, but those are the storylines.

Brenda’s brother - Billy
Ruth’s nutty husband - George
I don’t remember the name of the other guy Claire hooked up with, but he was played by Peter Facinelli.
Yeah, I do remember that George turned out to be a loon and that he and Ruth were separated for a while, with Ruth leaving the house to visit her wild and crazy sister. I just couldn’t remember if they got back together before the end of the season.
As for Claire, I never really much cared for her storylines as much, especially since they killed off Gabriel and she became so egomaniacal.
