Agreed with all above. Rogen was ehhh. The ep sucked.
I did enjoy Sudeikis/Wiig in the ultrasound HD commercial. “Who says raising a baby can’t be any fun?” …“No one says that!”
I must admit that I love Macgruber in all its forms. “Douchebag Awards” was mildly amusing. The rest: feh. I had to mute Chevy Chase, because it was making me cringe.
Rogen brought energy at the very least. The Douchebag championship made me sad though. I know those douchebags.

What really made that sketch work for me was Fred Armisen as Gene Simmons. That impression perfectly summed up why I have always found Simmons to be such an egomaniacal tool.

Wow…I guess I’m easy because I though all the skits were good to great. Although the twins skit did go on too long.
And I didn’t even notice he was missing from some of the skits.
I haven’t really watched the show for a few years, but I caught some of those MacGruber skits. As funny as anything they’ve done for a long, long time (I’m talking mid-90s here).
The Dane Cook parodies we’re spot fucking on. And the digital short was pretty good. The rest…not so much.

Those were funny, that guys impression is RIGHT on the money. I heard Dane Cook is really good in “Dan In Real Life” coming out Friday. Two friends who already saw the film told me he is quality in his supporting role. def. going to see it, love Carell even from when he was on The Dana Carvey Show.
It’s coming back. Tina Fey host Feb 23 and Ellen Page hosts the following week. They said they are going to try and goi 4 weeks in a row then a break when they normally go 3 at most to try and catch up.
I just hope they add another black cast member to play Obama because Kenan Thompson isn’t the answer. I know he was trying to loose weight to play him but even he does he’s shit.
I just hope Alec Baldwin is the host after Page.
I’m glad Fey is the first host since the strike has ended. This show needs to hit the ground running since being away for a few months and having a musician or football player hosting would have started things off on the wrong foot.
I don’t recall Tina being good/present in many sketches, though.
This is true. However, she was the former head writer on SNL and she has proven on 30 Rock to be a strong comedic performer.
Tina Fey tonite. I expect to see Baldwin and Morgan as well.
They were also having Obama auditions this week so it looks like Thompson blew his chance. Never understood why they seemed to never have a racially diverse cast.
Ellen Page and Wilco next week. Count me in.
Heard Seth Myers might be playing Obama. Hope it’s not true but still better than Thompson.
