New trailer on Wednesday.
I just rewatched the second trailer and the protagonist isn’t clicking with me yet. Just seems like he’s a clench-jawed meathead. There’s just no charm to him yet and I hope the new trailer can do something to show us why he’s the protagonist. Or maybe it’ll be revealed that there are multiple protagonists.
I wonder if Rockstar will ever put a co-op mode into one of their games.
I never played any of the GTAV multiplayer, but doesn’t it have heist missions that are basically co-op missions against AI? Granted that’s not tied to the main story, but I’d surprised if Rockstar didn’t build on that and expand it here.
Yeah, GTA Online is full of co-op modes. Even before they added in heist missions there were co-op mission you could do. It’s kind of while the heist missions felt like such a letdown. I was hoping for something more free form like Payday2 heist, but they ended up just being extremely linear cheakpoint missions like the game already had.
There is a couch co-op mode in San Andreas. The camera can get pretty janky inside places like the aircraft carrier, I think you might only be able to mess around in sections, and I don’t remember if you can do missions in that mode…but it’s there
I am SO there. Love that the trailers are solely focussed on the plot and not Red Dead Online or whatever.
I’m sure it’ll be a good game, but I dunno about that story stuff. I think the appeal for me will be in riding through the scenery.
That one guy in the trailer looks like Pete Postlethwaite.
Im actually more excited about the multiplayer; I want to play a burro riding bandido.
This is why we can’t have nice things.
It’s gonna be fun till you’re griefed the fuck out by that one asshole who spent all the Varmint Coins (available at the Rockstar Store) to get the horse with jetpack and a machine gun.
Dont get me wrong, Im all about that single player.
But Rockstar has done such excellent work with GTA V’s mutiplayer, I cant wait to see what they will do with a setting like RDRs.
I mean, the possibilities here are endless, and tell me you wouldnt love to play a “The Wild Bunch” or “Magnificent Seven” styled game modes with fellow chewers.
I still dream of the day where we get a MMO western based game that looks and plays like RDR.
Didn’t GTA Online promise a bunch of team-based heist DLC that never materialized because they figured out it was more profitable to just release new cars and character skins?
That’s what I worry about here. The path you describe involves more work for less money.
So some outlets got to see a demo of it.
Haven’t watched that video, but I read the write-up on IGN. I already resent my gang for making me feel obligated to get food and run errands for them. Sounds less like I’m the right-hand man and more the intern.
Oh god, that is saying everything I want to hear.
