Guy on the far left could be a young John Marston. Second from center looks like Bill Williamson from RDR. In RDR they mention the gang would rob and murder, but they also gave to the poor before their leader flipped out. So it could be a getting the gang together Magnificent 7/Butch and Sundance/Wild Bunch mash-up.

I’d prefer they just leave Marston’s story alone.

I hope its not a GTAV situation where you play as all 7 of these guys. It worked alright for GTAV, but in the end made the overall story feel smaller than it should. I’d rather they focus the story around one guy.

Oh, I’d love to play as the whole ensemble. That was one of my favorite aspects of GTAV.

I don’t give a shit about multiplayer. The priority of this series should be single player, and then multiplayer. Since this is my favorite game evar, I couldn’t be happier. The next year is going to be a looooong wait.

Rumor I heard is that it’s a prequel of sorts, so you’re still playing John and not his son. I’m all for that.

I did this a couple of months ago to see if I could finally get a few beaver pelts after giving up years ago. I still love it and the experience I had, but I think it didn’t age as well as I hoped. It’s just obvious that it’s last generation in some less than desirable ways. I was also very rusty. Took me a good hour to relearn the ropes.

AI played through RDR again last year. Still plays like a dream.

Yeah I was actually going to say this same thing. It’s kind of a moot point as I gave away my 360 when I built my gaming rig, but part of the reason I’m hoping for a PC release of the original is so I can do a Grim Fandango style “wow, now this is how I remember it looking!” rose tinted nostalgia playthru.

EDIT: Also, the original came out in 2010 good lord.

I’m pretty sure I beat that game, and yet I can remember absolutely nothing about it other than Thomas Jane was the main character (I think?).

That said, if anyone here hasn’t played Call of Juarez: Gunslinger HOP ON IT. It’s the tequila shot to RDR’s cold beer.

I’ve said it before: if they ever come out with a well designed Western MMO, you’ll find my dried up corpse in front of my computer. The idea of doing a raid (rob a bank, rob a train, etc) with gunfighters, riflemen, knife-throwers, bow/arrow users, and other classes simply sounds like too much damned fun.

There is Hard West on PC

Not perfect, but pretty great if you in the market for a supernatural desperadoes/x-com type of game.

And it may have ages like crap (and it wasnt that good to begin with), but damn if music and story didnt made this my favorite western game growing up:
