I am the worlds biggest Matrix fan, and the last system I bought was a Dreamcast. Long story short, I am going to buy a system just so I can play Enter the Matrix. I want to know what system you guys suggest.
Well, I’m guessing the Xbox version of it will be the best.
Of course, for a games system - I have the PS2 right now, and I enjoy it immensely. Well-rounded selection of games.
I’d suggest waiting to see what Enter The Matrix is like first. Because so far it looks pretty shit.
To be honest, if they repackaged PONG and didn’t change a thing, just added the hours worth of footage they shot just for the game, I would buy it.

I’d have thought, as a Matrix fan, you’d be more annoyed than anyone if the game was below par.

This may sound insane, but I am just automatically assuming it is going to be the equiviilant of Mission Impossible (N64). I am mainly getting it because the Wachowski’s wrote the script for the game and shot an hours worth of footage during the shoot for the sequels. I am also interested in how the plotline is integrated into Reloaded. If the game is fun it will be an extra bonus.

I realize that they usually suck. I was leaning towards an X-Box. The only reason I can think of getting a PS2 is Vice City.

Go with the XBOX. I used to be the world’s biggest XBOX hater, but I finally saw the light and acquired one. I love my Gamecube, but I have sold my Playstation. My roommate has one, and beyond GTA, there really isn’t anything out there for it.

Also, from the Revisited footage, it looks like Colin Chou did extensive work with the ping pong ball-covered suit for his portion of the game.

i remember, when i got my xbox when it first came out, i went to gamestop to check out what was new. i asked about upcoming xbox games, and i got the ‘i can’t believe you bought that fucking thing’ look. the dork behind the counter told me that xbox is just a stupid pc in hiding, and it won’t get any software support. he mocked the hard drive and the ethernet port.
funny. i bet when the playstation 3 comes out, it will have a built in hard drive AND an ethernet port.
i’m happy with my xbox. LOVE the system link. i don’t have any hate for the PS2, i just think the xbox has more quality, and will continue to get better.

I don´t like the X Box. It just hasn´t the feel of console gaming. Nearly every game available for X Box is also available for PC, I have one so I won´t buy another PC for the same games.
And Enter the Matrix will suck. Just think of the adaptions of the Men in Black movies. Damn, the first game was even worse than the 2nd movie…
I’m hoping that the involvement of the Wachowskis will elevate this game and make the demands that the quality of this game match the films (or at least the first film, the sequels could suck).
Now now, people, read carefully. There’s one reason this game cannot be total ass: you get to play as Anthony Motherfucking Wong.

The second MIB game wasn’t even based on the movie sequel. Just a basic shoot-'em up that Infogrames had Melbourne House construct in order to make a little money.
Now, take Spider-Man: The Movie game - probably not the greatest but the game did actually manage to surprise for something based on a movie. Add to that the involvement of Tobey Maguire and Willem Dafoe for voice acting and a fairly cool aerial combat system and you’ve got a nicely done licensed game.
Point being? Movie/TV games seem like they’re improving. If you’re all gonna say it sucks right now, fine by me. You’ve only seen screens. Not videos of the gameplay in action, you don’t have a demo to judge for yourself. So reserve judgement until later.
