What I really regret though, is that the Wachowski bros actually contacted Hideo Kojima (aka the genius behind Metal Gear Solid for those not following) in order to make a Matrix game, but it didn’t work out due to legal issues, I think.

Guys…don’t be so hasty to call this game ‘ASS’…it actually sounds damn cool…we know the story should rock since the Wachowski’s penned it…plus the new screens out for it now look pretty damn good. Much sharper and better than those early shots. Check them out for yourself…the website for the game has opened. They say it will have from 10 - 50 hours of gameplay too !!! And then there’s the extra hour of exclusive footage shot just for the game…oh yes !!!

I bet this will be the best game-based-on-a-movie ever. The more I read up on it I feel that we are all going to be surprised when it comes out.

I just know from bitter experience that Shiny are experts at promising the moon on a stick, and delivering jack shit. Dave Perry talks the talk but, based on his softography, hasn’t quite mastered walking the walk. All their games look and sound good…but very few are actually that good to play. If anyone is going to create the “best game based on a film ever”, I’d bet that it won’t be Shiny.

I don´t think that the graphics or the gameplay will suck. I´m of the opinion that the controls will suck. Just look at the Lord of the Rings games and Blade 2. Great potential. Nice Graphics. Boringly bad games.
And MDK was just brilliant.

i actually thought the Two Towers game was pretty fun. sure it was just Gauntlet with Peter Jackson orcs, but still reasonably solid.

Well, the character models look better but somehow the environments look worse. How is that possible?
Judging by the aliasing on those last shots, I’d wager the backgrounds look worse because those are not shots from the Xbox/PC version, while the first shots with the nice, smoothly anti-aliased look are.
