These past few of episodes have really help highlight that for the past eleven episodes the humor has been sparse. Sure, there’s been some interesting character development and some fair amount of shock value, but I found that there’s been some good laughs throughout. Richard Burgi gets funnier every episode (I loved it in the last episode where Carl gleefully set up the confrontation between Dr. Ron abd Mike) and I just don’t understand why we’ve seen so little of Edie this season.
And I much prefer the hard-edged “don’t fuck with me” style of Lynette as opposed to her conciliatory, office lunacy we’ve seen from her this season.
Felicia’s little slam at Paul was fun but let’s take a closer look at the company: an arsonist (Susan), an adulterer (Karl), a former speed-freak (Lynette), and before they left to get their baby, a statutory rapist (Gabby), a corporate criminal / accidental gay-beater (Carlos) and these are just the crimes everyone at the party knows about. No one has any idea that Bree murdered George.
Also, Gabby and Carlos taking the baby from the hospital is one of my favorite moments this season.
The weather last night knocked out my cable, so I missed this episode.

It’s entertaining but I don’t know if it has the replay value of shows like Lost and The Office.
Well, I liked the finale.
Tied up and got rid of the lesser characters added this season, and left several great dliffhangers, I thought.
I particularly like the tantalizing bits about the dentist, kyle maclachlan.
But we don’t think Michael is dead, do we? I wouldn’t like that twist.
I don’t think Mike is dead, but the car impact sure made me cringe a bit.
Glad to see the Applewhites gone for good. Really screwed up things there for a while.
I was confused at first why they would show that the dentist (Kyle Maclachlan) ran Mike over. I was confused until I remembered that Mike mentioned knowing him from prison.
Mike may not be dead, but he sure looked sick on last night’s finale. And I don’t mean ‘make-up’ sick.
I’m not sure what that is supposed to mean, rob-- that he just looked ill?
And as far as showing too much, I thought they should have ended eva longoria’s storyline before the scene in the foyer with the nanny. Like that storyline should have ended with her sighing against the side of the garage.
And how about zach killing the millionaire and instantly becoming evil?
Also, I laughed (in a good way) for like a minute straight at the notion of bree getting involed with another psycho.
The stuff with Zach I just didn’t get. Didn’t seem within his character. I guess killing your old-old man will do that to you.
And what was with his comment about filling in the pond?
I don’t know, to me it seemed to reflect his repressed/changed state. I always thought he seemed capable of killing someone in season one, and a lifetime of being raised by that crazy dad could do it.
I wonder where you go with that from here (as the writers), especially on the michael/dad front.
I was thinking that he might use his newly founded wealth to take care of Mike now that his other father is out of the picture for him.
I didn’t get the ‘fill in the pond’ line either.
As far as Mike (James Denton), he didn’t look healthy. Hollowness to the eyes, gaunt/thinner than I remember. My wife mentioned it first, and I agreed, that he looks like he might be ill. Seemed like maybe he was made up that way, but it didn’t fit the storyline.
I didn’t notice Mike looking any different other than his appearance after his fight with Carl.
I thought he looked a little more haggard than usual, I’ll agree.
It was really in the neck, that i noticed. It seemed like it was hanging loose around there.
I thought he looked less bulky but that’s up to the actor to do, not anything makeup could pull off.
Lisa and I thought he looked like a cancer patient. Both of our dads developed a certain look when they were sick.
Seemed like a fairly distinct possiblity. When we saw him taken out by the dentist it kinda fit, I guess. Hopefully not.
