Well to be fair they did make a big deal out of the fact she had a weak human arm and when she hit someone with it’s a weak punch and it hurts her. The reason she can spare with a human is that he trained her and he knows the initial program that was programmed into her.
Now I thought the reason they showed her only doing pull ups with the one arm was because that was supposed to be her human arm. However this show must have the most incompitent continuity people because they confused the arm.

Washington is only supposed to do about 5-6 episodes. Supposedly, NBC is developing an “action series” with him in mind. Could be interesting…

It was a 30% drop with utterly terrible word of mouth. That seems a little more substantial than “fell off some”.
At this point, we just get to wonder if it makes it through a complete season or not.
You know what would save this show? Sackhoff killing or removing from the storyline the bland as fuck Bionic brunette, saying “I’m the real Bionic Woman”, and the writers just retcon the entire premise.
Watched the pilot the other night just cos it was on network TV and I thought I’d save myself a curiousity download . . . as far as pilot’s go I’ve seen alot worse turn into something half-decent (the Blade series started off absolutely woeful, but ended up being quite good by the end of the season . . . didn’t stop it from getting canned, though). Katee Sackhoff is definitely the more interesting of the two (and about the only woman I can think of to play Tulip if that Preacher series ever gets made), and although alot of people see that as a negative, hasn’t that always been the way with movies and TV? Let’s face it, everyone finds Vader to be infinitely more interesting than Luke - at least someone on the show is worth watching - that already puts it ahead of alot of shows I could mention.
But for all that, you’re all right - it’s so decidedly “meh”.
And just for a final kick in the balls, I can’t believe that’s the same Michelle Ryan that was so Earth-scorchingly HAWT in Jekyll . . . what the hell did US Television do to her?!?!?!
They screwed this one up badly. The ratings were huge for the premiere, and tailed off horribly for the second episode… so people wanted to like it, but didn’t like the pilot.
No shock, the pilot was a mess, the title character was miscast and poorly written, and important plot elements were skimmed over (I didn’t know till episode 2 that her boyfriend was dead).
They should’ve torpedoed this and reshot it from scratch for a January start. Currently it’s like Alias, without a charismatic lead, or strong ongoing plot, or competent writing.
But since the second episode was better than the first (and Tivo lets me watch them at 4AM), I’ll try a couple more… I’m a masochist, I know.
I thought episode 2 was an improvement over the fast forward driven pilot. Ms.Ryan seemed to actually showcase a personality in this episode, that was the first thing I noticed right away. But the continuity thing at the beginning was so idiotic - bitch needs to make up her damn mind. The addition of Washington was a plus too bad its only for a few eps.
The first episode was one of the shoddiest things I’ve seen in a long time. And that ending was both non-sensical and absurd.
The second episode really wasn’t much better, but one thing alone may shame me into watching the rest of the series. Darin Morgan was listed in the credits of Ep. 2. If he comes out of his shell and writes one (granted, may only be in the first six episodes that his brother was involved in) then it will be worth drowning in mediocrity for.
I finally caught up on the second episode last night around 1 AM and sadly, I agree with most everyone here. The ending from the pilot and the beginning of the second episode was a joke. I mean really, if they wanted to change things would it have killed them to shoot 2 minutes and splice it in there? I also liked the Pope character but he’s gone in a few episodes. It seems the characters that are likable are the ones that aren’t going to be around that long (unless picked up for a season 2, which given the fact it had a drop off and NBC just greenlit a new pilot, I suspect the show is toast after 13). I’ll stick around for another few episodes but I won’t be watching it until several days after it aired as I have much more important things to do…
I’m done with this show (hopefully), but as a final comment, I swear that Sackhoff is getting as much or more air time in the new commercials as the actual “Bionic Woman.”

WOW did that episode suck. I’ve tried to like this but I could hardly sit through tonight’s show. I love Katee Sackoff and she had one moment tonight I enjoyed but that was not nearly enough to make this one passable.
I can’t not point out the most idiotic moment: when Sarah breaks into Jamie’s house, mentiones to Jamie she knows about the tracker/camera in her eye, then looks her right in the face and tells her where to meet her and to come alone. I call bullshit!
I’m done with this show.
I don’t get it. I thought Sarah sniped the boyfriend and now Jamie’s hanging with her without ripping her head off? The fuck is that?
And the whole protection thing? Cliche as hell with the whole bratty kid that gets a taste of the real world and turns nice.

Now I wish I had watched so I could turn it off exactly at the moment I realized Bionic Woman #2 had forgiven Bionic Woman #1.
