And I guess the fight scene was badly edited to cover up the actresses not being able fight and the stuntwomen or something.

I wasn’t paying attention. Did her boyfriend science guy die? Did that guy say something about a “viable candidate” or something? Will the boyfriend get a bionic heart?

I kinda dug it. I like it when the show toys in the existential crisis of cybernetics. More of that type of stuff appeals to me, but I don’t know about other people. Starbuck was way cool, as were the other Galactica actors. The lead was ok. Can’t tell if its her or the writing. She needs to have more of a personality for sure.
Other Galactica actors? I saw two, the lawyer and Starbuck. What were the other ones?
And the lead seemed better in Jekyll. I’ll give it some time, maybe it’ll get better.
Though I hope they don’t hit the angst of her being all amped up too much. Even though they have that programming in her head, she looks perfectly normal. So she should have at least some gratitude for saving her life and putting her back together.
You missed the Chief and his 3 well delivered lines.
Did nothing for me. The wife said it seemed too much like a retread of Dark Angel, and an inferior one to boot.
She’s pretty goddamn whiny for someone who can punch through a wall. I mean, I could understand if you could see lit up veins all the time or she had half a metal face that kinda announced the whole “superpowered badass” thing, but Jesus. She looks the fucking same, now with added superiority, and she’s still all sad about how she’s changed. It’s like something out of Evangelion.
If she’s bitchy now I wonder what she’s like during cramp time.

Random thoughts I had to express during the broadcast:
1)Why the fuck are they speeding through everything? She goes bionic, she escapes, the evil dad is mentioned, he escapes, the big bad shows up, she kills the boyfriend, they fight, she decides to join the agency … is it just me, or could they have intelligently expanded the storylines of the first episode into about half a season?
2)Why is she so fucking apeshit pissed at the boyfriend? I realize seeing your legs being rebuilt would be scary, but probably not more scary than being on dialysis or seeing the bloody stumps where your appendages used to be. I would say “jeepers, thank so much for saving my life and replacing my limbs”… a little gratitude wouldn’t hurt. Would she rather be an eye patch wearing limbless cripple? I’d be fucking ecstatic to have fully functional, but super-powered, limbs and healing ability.
3)Ummm…the only, only, only point of having the “big bad” and the hero duel early in a season is so that the hero can get their ass kicked. If they learn quickly and defeat the villain, it kind of destroys the suspense.
4)So. Many. Cliched. Lines.
5)In the surgery room, they clearly show that only her lower legs are missing. So, why can she run fast or leap high? Those actions are powered by your quadriceps and hamstrings, two muscles that, unless they were removed during surgery, were not “bionic-ized.” Doesn’t compute.
6)The lead actress sucks.
I hope I won’t be watching any more of this.
I completely agree with everything Overlord wrote.
This was terrible. I really can’t imagine seeing a worse pilot this year, or at least I hope I don’t.
All that being said, it’s probably going to be a huge hit, right?

Am I reading this correctly? The doctor boyfriend died? From the sniping scene I thought he was dead, but from then on, the bionic biatch’s non-plussed attitude suggested he just had a slight cold or a little diarrhea or something.
So she freaks out mightily after becoming bionic, but after her boyfriend gets sniped and killed, she is like “Eh, maybe I’ll give this a shot after all!” The finisher is the parting comment to a wasted and tired-looking Miguel Ferrer: “The insane killer robot chick who just brutally murdered my loved one says HI…” Then she walks away like she is hot shit? She is the Bionic Bi-Polar Woman. Wow.
That was some fabulously bad TV, folks.
Apparently she doesn’t need any training from the Asian guy. I guess giving her new legs, arms and eyes and an abortion automatically mades her a super fighter.
