Looks promising. There are some spoilers but nothing too surprising if you’ve paid close attention to the show. Most of it flies by in quick flashes. Formerly pregnant Boomer, who was missing from Lay Down Your Burdens Pt 2, makes an appearance. Tigh looks like a pirate. The big spoiler being Kara’s time on The Farm bears a product! More cool space battles! More Lucy Lawless! Baltar even crazier! Kara locked up! More father/son conflict between Lee and Bill!
I couldn’t wait for season 2.5 to come on DVD, and I luckily happened to come into posession of a “for your consideration” emmy screener. Very cool. It’s non-anamorphic, but comes in a slick looking crushed velvet box. It should hold me over nicely till the official release
But I’m getting pretty damn antsy for season 3. So bring it on!

Region 2 is a full box, but R1 has no plans yet. However, put together it’d cost you the same. Just go for the 2.0/2.5 sets. I have 2.0 and it’s great.

I’ve had to lend out my season sets somewhere north of FOUR times now, and had to burn season 2.5 divx files for those people, and they’ve all decided they’re now coming over to my house every Friday night starting in October to catch season 3.
Also, IGN’s got a bunch of trailers up right now, and one of them is the original season 3 trailer, but they replaced the Nickelback. Thankfully.
As usual with a show I’m a big fan of, I’m avoiding all footage, pics, spoilers, news and interviews. Going in cold is the only way! And as usual I’ll be the last to comment on episodes because I’m in the UK and it takes me almost a week to..um, watch, episodes. So say me.
The Battlestar Wiki entry for the Resistance (the web series between seasons 2 & 3) states that the plan is to release the episodes every Tuesday and thurday until Season three starts, begining 9/5.
The Galactica Comic issue 1 just came out, and the art is pretty so/so. Sometimes Adama looks like Olmos. Sometimes he looks like Leonard Nimoy. And Boomer so far looks like Jamie Lee Curtis in “Drowning Mona.”
The story is pretty interesting, at least for the comics pages. If this was ever translated to the screen, I think the show would have lost me, but it works in the comics medium. Plus, it sheds some insight into Zak Adama, of all people, that I thought was pretty fun to read.
It’s quicker for us to order the box sets from the US than it is to wait for them to be screened on local TV.
My gf and I just finished watching season 2.5 and we gotta look into downloading season 3 once it starts airing otherwise we’ll have to wait once again for the next box set.
Mild Spamminess, but we got to talk to Katee again tonight on the show. She brought up Dreyfuss, which reminded me of Devin’s interview, and I brought it up (Although I momentarily forgot Devin’s name) to see if that fit with her memory.
Also, apparently Starbuck quit smoking and Starbuck SINGS at some point this season.
Well shit, this show has me. After a marathon watching session with the friends, I finally do see what the fuss is all about. I was reluctant to get onboard the Galactica love train, but now I’m that I’m on, don’t let it stop.
I’m big enough to admit I was a tad hasty in judging the show too harshly. Yes, I am a fan of the old show, but if this is what we get, that’s cool and I can live it. It’s quite good. Plus, it’s got some of the best plot turns and twist science-fiction television has ever seen. (duh!)
Katie Sackoff is just about the hottest thing ever on two legs.
Color me converted.
Now that Baltar is French, I can’t wait for Friday.
