Arrested Development Season 2 Thread

Yeah, I felt the voice joke clicked more than once in the episode, but I can see it making people uncomfortable.

I can’t stop watching the “Good Grief!” episode on a continuous loop from my TiVo.

I thought the show was pretty good - not as funny as past eps, but still pretty clever. I thought the best part was Gob gut-punching Buster when Buster finally made it over the wall. And Winkler continues to impress.

I love this show.

the “Afternoon Delight” gag was great.

Mediocre-ish episode, but I adored Michael Cera continuing his ascent into comic masterhood with the cutaway to him at Anne’s christmas party as well as Gob’s inspiring pre-party speech.

Yes, we’re back to the goodness.

I love the recurring gags. The gag of Michael calling Anne everything but her name continues to make me laugh. “Yam”. And the gag of sending Tobias to the hospital returned with a vengeance!

In Season 1 Michael had to get George Sr. some hot lovin while he was pent up in prison. I liked how they flipped it and Michael was forced to get his mom a little “Afternoon Delight”. The “brownie” comment was hysterical.

Lastly, any episode prominently featuring Gob is comedy gold. The banana suit is priceless.

Great ep.

Good god, what a funny episode. Maybe the best of the season so far. I loved Gob gloating over his expensive suits to the Bluth workers. And Oscar’s brownie line indeed was classic.

“Everybody dance now. Everybody dance NOW.”

I was the only one to laugh at the into the Kitty joke, until I reminded people of season 1.

Only joke that made me laugh out loud.

Solid episode, but it will always be hard to top, “Good Grief!”

Blue Steel, bitches!

“I got blown.”

Tobias rocks.

I totally forget this was on, but luckily my DVR recorded it. The goodness is back again. Some favorite moments:

– Lucille and Buster’s matching outfit magazine cover

– Gob: You mean the guy we’re meeting with can’t even grow his own hair? Come on!

– Stillwell: Let me guess…girlfriend? It could be worse. He could want to marry your mother. Oh I’m sorry, are we still not laughing at that yet?

– Gob: What the hell is that? Did your eyebrow just fall in the candy beans? Come on!
Stillwell: That’s okay, I always carry a spare.
Gob: I hope you carry a spare bowl of candy beans!

– George Michael: Ann could play my position.
Michael: You should be playing the field… right. Let’s make Ann the back up. That’s a very good way to
think about her…as a back up.

– Oscar as a crock spotter on a Vietnam swift boat

– George Michael: Ann’s got a low center of gravity, no one can knock her over. They call her “The Wall”.
Micheal: I could knock her over. *whispers* I won’t, but I could knock her over.

– Gob testing out the Presidential chair with the gay employee

– George Sr.: Your Tweety Bird dance just cost us the game!

I wasn’t feeling the Lindsay/Tobias/Maeby storyline. But I did enjoy seeing the continuity of the blue hands all over the walls of the house.

Good episode. Loved the appearances by Andy Richter (wish his good sitcom hadn’t been canned) and JK Simmons.

that was AWESOME! There are no words to describe the supreme quality of that particular funny

NEW CARS DON’T GET WAXXED!

Awesome.

Have to give a quick little shout-out to the unsung hero of the whole thing - Ron Howard. Seriously, the guy has some great delivery and plays the narration just right, in particular was last nights episode.

Everytime I hear Gob scream, “Come on!,” I get this huge grin on my face. I love when he says that. Also, I reread my post and was about to edit it to write in “jelly beans”. But Gob really did call them “candy beans”. That’s comedy.

lol I hear you there - its ace - perfect delivery

ot: has the actress who plays lindsay had some plastic surgery or something - she looks more than a little freakish around the mouth compared to season1…just a question…
