I know it’s often stupid, always repetitive and many people feel it should have ended seasons ago, but I love every single episode of this glorious bastard. Can’t wait for January.

Just read in EW that Izzard is not part of the cast. But with Cromwell as Papa Bauer I can’t complain too much about the roster for this season.
hmm…I was hoping for Jack to get into “asian” makeup and sneak out of the chinese prison. That way they could offend two ethnicities in one season!
Does anyone really believe Jack will die? No. Thats a pretty poor way to pimp the season.
Also, what was up with sutherland “steppin” to the camera man in the little pre-clip monologue. It looked like he was going to take us out.
Anyway, one thing is for sure. That new Rav 4 looks like the SHIT!!!
I was at a local watering hole watching the series with some folks when the promo came on. I didn’t want to look too geeky so I sort of half pretended to pay attention, and as such I didn’t get a good look at what was going on. I noticed Jack with some crazy facial hair at one point. I’m sure it’ll end up on Youtube soon enough.

looks ok. At least they haven’t ignored the ending from last year, like they did when palmer was poisened. There is no way they could have him in china, busting out and coming back, because it would take between 12 and 15 hours.
Just watched the trailer. Yeah, I am glad to see that they will at least address the China thing in the series itself (it seems). Or maybe that was footage from the prequel?

And agreed. At least they don´t ditch the China angle in a prequel or something. I think the plot seems to have some decent opportunities this time. At least not another atomic bomb or apocalyptic threat (yet…lets see how this season will play out). A wave of suicide bombers looks like a more grounded scenario to me. And if they go into political rammifications territory, thats fine with me.Worked well in season 2 (definetly the best season so far). But how did Wayne become President?
I just wonder how they will bring jacks daddy into play. Apparently he is the CEO of a multinational corporation.

i was too. It was a ridiculously bad getup. It actually reminded me of Bruce Campbell’s “rip van winkle” makeup in the alternate ending to Army of Darkness…and thats not necessarily a compliment.
And in reality, the only way they addressed this China thing was by showing that chinese consulate guy for a couple seconds in the trailer looking shocked and pissed. Apparently, when america needs jack baur they just need to talk nicely to the chinese who have been secretly imprisoning him for some time now?

Yeah, god forbid the show change things up a little.
I wouldn’t mind it being back in L.A. if at least he was working for the Chinese. Though all they really need are a strong opening four hours and most folks will forget about the China plot. Based on his one appearance last season I’m hoping for Chloe’s ex-husband to be the first “good guy” clipped this season.
There was a littler Die Hard 3 vibe with that one terrorist wanting Jack dead. Wonder which of the hundred or so terrorists he killed brother that is.
I don’t think Palmer’s brother has any chance at re-election with the body count mentioned. They let the wrong people in the country.

Season 7. He’ll take a vacation in the first hour or so to go back to CTU to check up on it and wind up becoming a field agent again. People will doubt his ability to function as his actions represent United States, and he’ll wind up going rogue. Impeachment story lines will ensue.

Keep in mind that he would be gaining an hour every time he passed through a time zone, so he would just be back where he started (if not earlier) when he got off the plane.
