It’s a little early but there is some interesting news. 24 in the big apple sounds good to me.

Ausiello: As a matter of fact, yes — and it’s huge! The show may head to the Big Apple next season. The real Big Apple, not some lame New York-looking studio backlot in Los Angeles. “We are in converations about shooting some stuff in New York for this [coming] season,” exec producer Joel Surnow tells me. If a deal can be worked out, this would be the first time in the show’s five-year history that it went on location outside of California. Surnow also hints that there’s a decent chance Gregory Itzin and Jean Smart will be back as the disgraced first family. “We love them,” he says. “They’re alive. We certainly want to try to bring them both back, because they were just such fabulous characters for us.” For exclusive scoop on the in-the-works 24 feature film, pick up the June 26 issue of TV Guide magazine, on sale next Thursday.
Which one is itzin? Wayne Palmer, or the son from season one?
Personally, I think its a great idea. Everyone and their mother’s have been desperate for a locale change, and while this isn’t as drastic as europe or china, NYC is a perfect place for a real-time show.
At least Jack won’t have to worry about making it from one side of LA to the other in ten minutes.
I say go for it, and if possible, make the whole damn show there – i think its a stupid idea if its just for a few scenes or something, as there’s no real point in it being NYC. But if its a move for the entire season, then I’d be very happy.

Even before this bit of news, a couple weeks back Surnow was quoted as saying that he was just starting to write the first episode and that the season wouldn’t be taking place in China.
Upon re-reading, WTF is right. I don’t know why they would bring back the president & first lady, unless he hadn’t been disgraced after jack was taken. Like maybe he’ll still get off or something.
I can’t imagine how, but I think its more of a stretch to find use for them in a new storyline.
And personally, I’ve had all I can take of Itzin. Smart, I could happily imagine by Aaron’s side in the coming season, but no way on itzin.
You know, I’m really digging Jacob’s idea, no matter how much in jest it was. Maybe that’s just the ticket I need to enjoying this next season. Or a lobotomy.
Producers have also confirmed that, much like the second season’s last minute cliffhanger, next season will skip ahead and likely bring up only in mention the cliffhanger the fifth season finished on.
I’m not sure about this. Wayne Palmer is ok, but he’s a dull character. What about Heller or the VP ? I hope they don’t have another 3 year leap, it’s just an easy way out. Also, what happend to shooting in New York ?

Apparently Yanosh from Ghostbusters 2 is going to be a regular this season. I hope he plays a crazy possessed guy that kills Jack Bauer 948 times in the first episode so this show can finally die three and half seasons too late.
