I think, THINK, I remember Wayne going up to David all glassy-eyed and saying Sherry got shot and was dead. I haven’t watched season three since it aired though, and I was so fed up with its convoluted Palmer storyline that I may have stopped paying close enough attention to its conclusion.
But yeah, I’m 99% sure she’s long dead.
Who they NEED back is Keith Palmer as Wayne’s bad ass security chief. He can get things DONE.

Is the Predator making an appearance this season?
Maybe if wayne filled out a bit more, he wouldnt look so much like david palmer’s little brother. To me, that’s the only problem, and he was very likable this season, unlike his appearances in season three (i think).
I love peter macnichol, so having him on Numb3rs, and 24, is gravy.
I wonder if people only cast him when math is implicit in the title.

Cassar reveals he plans to solve the cliffhanger left at the end of last season with the standard 10-minute ‘prequel video’ that’ll go online and on the DVD set that the series has been doing regularly for the past few years. As for the threat situation this season? “In the past seasons, Jack always tried to prevent terrorists attacks but in season 6, one of the idea that we might picked up would be that these attacks already occurred at the very beginning of the season. What would be the situation if something like 10 nuclear bombs had already exploded in a raw all around the country?”.
Cassar shot down rumours that filming would take place in New York? “I have no idea where this one came out from. All I can say is that we’re starting the preps mid-July in L.A. and that’s where we’re going to shoot. Right now the screenwriters are working on the script and nothing is a 100% sure but if anything should happen in NY in the upcoming season, we would probably fake it in LA”.

That’s obnoxious. No one should have to watch the show AND rent the dvds for the full story. Last years mini episode on the dvd was not important at all to the story, and I find it mildly offensive that that’s how they plan on tying up the loose ends from last season. Idiots.

This is fine show, but from now on, keep the daughter Bauer away! Cuthbert is the hottiest of hotties, but everytime she’s on the show I cringe thinking of that shit from season two of the crazed cougar nearly attacking her or the druggies holding her hostage. Waste of time.

Odds are whatever is on the DVD set will be available on the net a day after it’s released. But it’s true that there shouldn’t be anything truly vital on those DVD bits.

Spoke to exec producer Evan Katz at press tour, and the boss-man told me that somewhere between “18 months and two years” will have passed when Season 6 launches in January. He said the idea of picking up immediately where last season left off was “talked about, but it’s always important to us for the characters to have traveled a certain amount of distance emotionally. You don’t get a chance to do a lot of that during the course [of the season]. Also, the odds that two of the worst days [would occur] right next to each other stretches credulity a little bit.” Meanwhile, the New York remote that I first told you about last month has been scrapped. A source close to the show informs me that the producers have rethought the first episode and have decided that they can get what they need in Los Angeles. Bummer. I was hoping we’d get to see Chloe try to hail a cab during rush hour.

24 Exclusive: Look Who’s Returning!
Just got off the phone with my 24 mole and he/she informs me that Eric Balfour has signed on to reprise his Season 1 role as independent CTU contractor Milo Pressman. My spy wouldn’t say how Milo would be re-introduced, but he’ll be sticking around for a while: Balfour will be credited as a series regular. )
In other 24 news, former Star Trek: Deep Space Nine doc Alexander Siddig is joining the cast as one of the evildoers behind the big Season 6 plot. Additionally, Carlo Rota (aka Mr. Chloe O’Brian) will be back as a series regular.
I think they’re still trying to kill off the last few survivors from season 1. Somebody find that waitress Jack held hostage - she needs to be warned.
At a UK conference Carlos Bernard said he would be back for season 6, but I think he was just playing the audience.
