Just putting up a thread for this horrible show. I’m sure most chewers are like myself and get more enjoyment out the Heroes season threads vs. the show itself. I honestly didn’t know what season it’s up to. I had to look it up.

For a second I thought this was thread was simply called “What?! No Heroes Season 4?”, and my heart raced with joy.
In all seriousness, I could swear I read (in a credible source, if memory serves) that this show was cancelled after season last season.
I DVR’d it but its last on the list to watch. The fact that this season it morphs into a retarded version of Carnivale doesn’t help peak my interest much. If its on Hulu I may “watch” it in the background while I work. All depends on how much my stupid quota for the week is at. If I’m feeling smart and need to knock myself back down a peg I’ll throw it on.
With the possible exception of Twin Peaks, has any zeitgeist show flamed out as quickly as this one?
I quit cold turkey at the conclusion of the fall storyline. The show is so bad that the only remaining coworker who still watches it because of his wife, gave me the the set up for a couple of scenes and asked me what I think happened and I nailed all three of them. Good riddence.
I don’t get how you guys stuck with this further than the first half of season one. And even that was a chore.

It’s because they structured the series off of Lost, which is all about continuity, and then started treating everything as if it was wresting, where none of the characters remember what happened six months ago.
It comes from another era of soap-opera-style television where you could insult your audience through laziness and get away with it because no one was really paying attention, yet based itself around a show that’s whole premise was focused on the audience paying attention. Kind of flabbergasting actually.
I think the biggest “fuck you audience” (among a long series of "fuck you audience"
was when they had season 3 Peter forget about searching for his lost girlfriend (his main motivation in season 2). I think it was that point where I decided I couldn’t even enjoy the show on an ironic level and stopped watching.
In all fairness, it was a really good episode filled with really bad character decisions and storylines that will result in dead ends that they will have to retcon the show over to fix.
I do dig seeing T-Bag on the show and I enjoy the carnival style theme… overall, it looks cool and I’ll watch it and bitch about it…
Glad Mohinder is gone (or appears gone), glad they’re actually killing people off again. Hopefully they bring in hot new chicks with cool powers and get rid of the fucking cheerleader once and for all. Kill the Cheerleader, save the show.

The character isn’t real. The writers made her that way. Hope that’s cleared up.

Maybe “It” show is a better term, but let’s not forget how ridiculously overexposed/hyped this show was in its first season.
And how everyone was putting it up against Lost, saying “At least Heroes answers its questions!”
