When it comes down to it, I enjoy Wanted for being an action adventure show. Do I care about its treatment of the law? No, because the show is entertaining.
Although, if you just dont feel the show is entertaining, then there is no argument, and more power to you.
Much better episode this week. The best so far, in my opinion. The cheese was cut down significantly and some of the weaker actor’s parts were cut back. Some of the squad would be better served to play their characters with more subtlety from now on. The over the top shit doesn’t work for everyone!!

You’re right that the dialogue was better in this one. I saw in the credits that this episode was written by Kim Clements. She’s written for THE SHIELD. I didn’t notice her doing work on the first 2 episodes but I think you could tell the writing was better this time around.
Nice head butt to the D.A. at the show’s start. I think corectional officers are to this show what Jack Bauer’s back-up is to “24.” I liked the scene where Cole was questioned about his tactics in regards to the relatives ("Jesus was not in atendance on those days"
. Pretty touching father-son moment for the virgin cop at the end there.
Decent episode this week. I liked the “Biker beating the hell out of everyone” montage at the start of the show. I sort of wish they had explained exactly what a “pink sock” is but maybe it’s cooler if it remains a mystery, if it’s an actual term bikers use at all. I know from my years riding with the Brotherhood out of Little Rock, AK that “hog” meant bike and “mama” meant women that are passed around the gang for sexual gratification. I guess “pink sock” is a phrase coined after I closed that chapter in my life.

Thanks for the heads up. I was guessing it had to do with beating someone with a sock full of nickels and maybe the sock would become pink after the blood dried from the beating. Boy was that off the mark.
They sure didn’t shy away from showing children in danger this week. Not that I’m faint of heart but I could have done without the flashback of the little girl before she was buried. Nice scene at the end between Cole and his ex-wife but aside from a decent psycho performance from the killer there wasn’t much of note this week.

Umm, they do have a cop show. It’s called The Wire, and it’s the best show on TV. Just FYI.
I have only seen “The Wire” once and though it’s a cop show, it’s more on the dramatic realistic side than the exciting yet not so realisitc fare on “Wanted.” I think Milky was wondering why HBO hasn’t taken a stab at a more action oriented cop show, especially since they could get away with more than TNT.
Quick question: are these guys undercover, or not? They keep saying they are, then they flash their badges at people all over town.
I think it depends on who they are tracking down. The episode with the biker called for Tergensen to go undercover but last night’s with the child killer didn’t require that course of action. The ad for next week looks like they (or some at least) go undercover as workers for an adult video store.
This show is really letting me down. I think it’s about time to say goodbye, Cole & Tergensen or not.

I don’t think undercover works that way. I mean, they go into gun shops and identify themselves. They shake down bartenders who run the local criminal hangouts, identifying themselves. They show up at crime scenes. The team’s existence is supposed to only be known to the bigwigs, yet they identify themselves as “special undercover unit” to every plainclothes that comes by. Hell, they send people to jail, where they can talk to other criminals about the “special undercover unit” guys that beat the hell out of them and put them away. It doesn’t make sense.
It’s almost like the show is poorly written.
I have to be honest, I don’t recall them referring to themselves as a “special undercover unit” often. Cole has always described the unit as a task force devoted to bringing in L.A.'s most wanted fugitives. I’ll try to listen much more closely next week to see how they refer to themselves but I just don’t remember the term “undercover” being used much at all, aside from the episode with the biker.

The show your thinking of, was “UC: Undercover”, on NBC. Actor Grant Show(Melrose Place), not Michael Biehn, who was killed off in the 2nd episode. In episode 3, Oded Fehr(from The Mummy)came in as his replacement.
P.S. Michael Biehn, a few years later, appeared on the NBC show “Hawaii” while actor William Forsythe - who played the villain on “UC” would a few months later appear on the FOX show “John Doe” with Dominic Purcell(Prison Break).
I figured they’d square off against White Supremecists sooner or later, and they didn’t fail to deliver in pounding some Aryan skull. I noticed they didn’t do anything with Cole’s family which I have to admit made for a tighter show. I guess TNT only goes for 8 episode seasons because next week is the finale.
