“Throw mama from the tambien.”
I needed this show back yesterday.
“Throw mama from the tambien.”
I needed this show back yesterday.
That was fucking great.
“I intertubed..”
“Turns out I have grandkids…and kids…”
Ryan now looks like a douche…should be good stuff…
Cannot wait…
The wife watched all of the previews for this season. I opted out because I don’t want a damn thing spoiled. I can’t wait.
“I think I dated a black girl.”
And hour long episodes. Bring September on.
Creed fucking kills me every time. I really wish I hadn’t seen that because now I’m dying for the new season.
I cannot wait! I wonder how long Karen’s actually going to stick around. That should be a miserable good time.
Zooey, what did you do? Where’s your Wonderful Life avatar?
Well, my day has been officially ruined.
How can a picture of Pam ruin your day? Are you a Nazi?
Seriously - what’s wrong with you, Mattioli? PAM. CAKES. Don’t tell me that I have to explain the wonder that is Pam Beesley to you.

Obviously he’s a “Karen” man much like myself.
It’s just that seeing Donna Reed in Wonderful Life was like a little cup o’ sunshine. I guess what I’m trying to say is that I’ll miss the old girl, is all.
*sniffs, rubs eyes*

BOO! HISS! Assorted sounds of disapproval!
Aww, you’re a big ol’ softie, Mattioli. Mary’ll come back, don’t worry. She’s in my Photobucket.
“Karen” men were malnourished as children. If you were able to watch Pam walk over hot coals and then spill her guts to Jim in front of everyone last season without wanting to propose marriage and move to a quiet town in Massachusetts where you could raise cats and tomato plants together in bliss then you’re just plain crazy.
I knew what I was getting into when I posted it and I’ll shout it from the roof tops: I’m a Karen Filippelli man!
I mean she looks so exotic…
You’re an evil, evil man mr.TheCheese. Anyone who can watch Pam’s last scene in the third season and still prefer Karen scares me.
(I think I’m turning into a girl. I have to go and fight ninjas now to undo the damage.)
I just don’t get the Karen guys at my office. Meh.
Go Pam! I like a woman with some flesh on her bones. Or an accent. Or hopefully both.
Sad (but true) story: We are grocery shopping last weekend and I peruse over the list my wife compiled when I notice she has Pam cooking spray listed. Thinking I am ever-so-clever, I whip out a pen and write Beesley next to Pam.
SHE DIDN’T EVEN NOTICE WHAT I HAD DONE.
Needless to say, it was a very grumpy night at the House of Mattimus that evening.
Karen is basically the appealing face of what a lot of the Office is mocking. She’s bought into the whole upwardly mobile corporate life, and is sort of a Jan-in-training. All of the higher-ups have more-or-less been revealed to be soulless idiots or basket cases, and even Michael comes off as more sympathetic by comparison. Karen may be cuter, smarter, and funnier than most of the upper-management types we’ve seen, but she’s essentially cut from the same cloth.
I mean, if you don’t get a knot in your gut every time Jim makes some attempt to move forward in the company, I think you’ve missed the point of the show a bit. You don’t want Jim and Pam to be successes in this world; you want them to get out of it. Heck, you even kind of want Michael to get out of it.
But, then, I work in an office, so maybe I’m projecting a little?
That’s a bit much. For me, I want them to be able to find happiness in a place that is usually known for sucking it out of you. It’s about finding that person or thing that makes you get up in the morning (like Stanley and his pretzel). You’re right about Karen though.
I had no idea that Karen is Quincy Jones’ daughter.
