R/M finally have sex. I think they did a good job of keeping them apart without it being stupid.
The Jimmy storyline isn’t quite the same. Taking money from a loan shark can have very different consequences. He was facing jail last time. Now it’s broken bones or worse.
The stuff with Jimmy feels very off. I hope they can fix that. What he’s doing now just doesn’t seem right. The money this isn’t going to work out for him.

This season is very off kilter. Every situation bleeds hokey.

Last episode till November. Marissa in a school with the kids from the numbered streets. Will she become gansta?
Could they have made the Taylor/Dean thing any more obvious? I figured they were an item during the first episode.
It’s too bad Marissa isn’t going to Neptune High for her stint in public school.
I think there would have been a bus with her name on it.
I’m feeling cheated by not seeing Tate getting dropped to the bottom of Newport Bay.
I just finished watching Season 1 and found it quite entertaining. Not very impressed with this season so far. I suppose it’s just that I’ve finally exhausted all patience for the character of Marissa and the actress who plays her. Cooper/Barton just seems to drag the show down whenever she’s on screen, which is surprising, since she physically weighs only about 20 lbs. Let’s hope for a hot tutor for Ryan to finally get him away from that skeletal harpy.
The only thing I don’t like about the new season is Charlotte. Poor storyline and character. If you want money from someone do you blurt out “I need 3 million dollars” within the first minute of lunch? That and there is no way Kirsten would ever give up the money even if she had it. Sandy would smell a rat in 2 seconds anyway.
That said I like all the other stuff. The 2 other additions are delightfully evil. And with Taylor looking to be the puppet master to the Dean is sweet. I hope they reveal Taylor was the leading gossip monger who got Marissa out to get Social Chair. He fights with Summer are great.
The bizzaro world FAntastic Four are even ok. Maybe a little too nice but not annoying.
Anyone else think Summer and Seth may try and get hard evidence on the Dean/Taylor to get Ryan/Marissa back at Newport, Seth off detention, and Summer back at Social Chair? I can see them totally doing the cloak and dagger stuff next episode. Though I bet Marissa stays at her new school. Like she said she can’t afford it anyway.
And seeing a poor Julie should be fun to watch.
So this is, what, the third time the writers are pulling the “I’m in your life pretending I care but really I want your money to pay off some shady debt” storyline? And not just the third time, it’s being done one episode after Marissa’s father pulled the same stunt. And who was surprised at the whole Dean/Little Miss Prissy Bitch love affair? It was pretty obvious she was sucking him off from the first episode of the season.
I was mildly intrigued in this show after Agent Danger made me start watching last season, but so far this season has gone from being entertainingly unrealistic to just damn silly.
This show is approaching the floating ramp very quickly.
The same criticism of The O.C. is hitting Desperate Housewives now.

Desperate Housewives is still pretty high up there in quality compared to what The OC has put on display so far.
Atleast The O.C. doesn’t have a mongoloid killer locked in the basement.

Hopefully the Dean will stay on if he’s busted by Seth/Summer. The show needs a prick.
I can honestly say that I couldn’t care in regards to this show returning. They’ve really dug themselves into a deep hole.
Maybe this season will be like last. Half of it will be filler and reused stories and then the writers will finally start doing something worthy of being paid for.
But, so far, that’s just a maybe.
Unfortunatly the Dean is gone for good but if it means Taylor Townsend can stay then that’s a good thing. She’s a little crazy, alot cute, and has a mean streak to boot.
The last episode with Ryan going crazy with the bottle reminded me of Michael Keaton in Batman. I really wished Ryan would have said, " You want to get nuts? Come on! Lets get nuts!" They rip off every other movie(in a good way)
And they need more scenes like the opening in the diner to show that these 4 are actually friends.
And that poor punching bag. I’ve got a feeling Ryan will stew for along time till he boils over on Johnny. That kid neds a haircut.

The previews have Seth wanting to go to an East Coast School which I don’t buy. Before Ryan and Summer yes, now no. I’d bet on Ryan at Berkeley or the 3/4 ending up split between USC/UCLA.
