Esposito is a great ambassador for any project he’s involved in:

Truly this show the only reason I’m willing to pay the yearly subscription for Disney +

Hayao Miyazaki himself tweeted this just prior to the announcement:

New trailer drops tonight during Monday night football.

The trailer reminds me that, as much as I liked Baby Yoda, I was really ready for him to be sidelined so that Mando could become a bit more of a grown-up show.

Oh well.

After the amazing, Star Wars/OT retro aesthetic of Andor, it’s going to be weird getting used to the production values of the other Stars Wars Disney Plus shows again.

I have good news, it only airs once a year.

I’m going to keep hoping that they’re going to deal more explicitly with Djin’s realization that he’s been part of an extremist religious cult for most of his life.

I doubt they will, but it’d make for a hell of an arc.

dug the trailer. I’m in.

I guess Bob Iger’s “no Coruscant allowed” mandate has been lifted.

I’d rather he just bounty hunts, kills enemies, and there is absolutely no exploration of his feelings or emotions … I’d prefer he basically not have them.

Maybe not so much a grown up show but not such a cutesy show anymore either.

I was hoping they’d time jump a tad and have baby yoda more grown up. Yes, I know he doesn’t age the same and I know that doesn’t sell toys but wouldve like to seen something different. Or maybe im glad they didn’t do that and make Teen angst Yoda a thing.

I’m calling it now: this show is going to start being a pile of shit. I mean, I hope to be pleasantly surprised, but that’s what I’m sensing.

**Overall, I’ve liked the Mandalorian … it’s had too many clunker episodes and story arcs, but on the whole, I’d probably give it a B … maybe a B+ … with some “A” grade episodes sprinkled in here and there. I just see the tone we reached at the end of season two, and where the character should go next in terms of an arc, completely out of touch with cutesy crap like his horrible Naboo ship, the continued inclusion of an infant sidekick, and the Mandalorian subculture vibe which I have very little interest in.

hahah yeah I saw the Season 3 poster and my first reaction was “still holding onto that adorable merchandise for dear life, eh?”

makes the ‘emotional farewell’ at the end of the deepfake ex Machina finale of season 2 even funnier and false

no wonder Luke was so depressed postROTJ! his students keep cheating on him! failed again!

With that attitude, I’m sure you won’t like it, Overlord!

My expectations doesn’t really affect whether I like something. You probably disbelieve that, but I’m pretty comfortable that I give things a fair shot.

For example, I thought I would hate Rick and Morty and the Last of Us adaptation, and was vocal about my predictions. Loved em both (so far).

I thought I would love S2 of the Witcher and The Willow tv show, and posted a few times about how excited I was to watch them: hated them both.

You don’t give Sanderson a fair shot!

I liked original Sanderson. When I go back and re-read his older stuff, I still like them, so I don’t think it’s my imagination that he needs to slow the fuck down, get more concise, and have deeper characterizations.

Like I said, I am going to read Book 2 of Elantris and give him another chance.
