Well, I hated the first one. Anyone else not anticipating this?

It’s strange that these contestants are focused on competition, and while the show is competitive, there’s a teamwork element involved. I don’t know. I guess I would be looking more for who I could make friends with rather than who I could pick off.

I like what they’ve done with Project Manager.

I liked Bradford until he referred to him as “The Bradford”.

Why didn’t they do the brief history of the contestants? That would have been nice, especially when they have an extra half-hour to tell their story.

I have to wonder if Raj is an actor. Sam I could believe was naturally insane. Raj seems a little manufactured.

Whoa…poor team leadership by Brad. I mean, way to alienate your entire team. And while his idea was better than an easy-bake oven for boys, it certainly wasn’t anything special. Then again, neither is Crustacean-Nation, but hey, it’s better than the football-cars, especially since that will probably cost licensing rights.

The idea to give the remote-control car interchangable parts is cool but again, Bradford doesn’t seem to have a lot of respect for his team.

Rob deserves to get the boot. He seems like a whiner and much like David from the first season, he didn’t step up. The Apprentice is not a game where you can just fly under the radar like in Survivor.

I loved the expressions on Carolyn’s face, especially towards “why pick three?”.

You know, even with the longer run time, I still don’t feel like I know most of these contestants. In the first season, I felt that I was on board in some way with most of the players.

Trump made the right decision. To fire Andy because of his youth would have been totally hypocritical because Kwame was the same and look how far he made it. As for criticizing Pamela for her “hard edge”, well, look at the chick on your left. It’s not a flaw.

A somewhat “meh” premier but hopefully it will get better as it goes on.
I was mad after that episode.
I mean how dare Mattel think they know better than a women who doesn’t relate to kids at all in what sells to kids. Bastards.
And they didn’t use that one guy enough, I mean sure he had no inititive to be involved in anything, but still it was clearly the project managers fault.
Ok, now seriously, the one thing I didn’t like is they showed one of the team getting advice from the designers about what to make (they asked about the Football Car). I would of liked to know if the other team asked any advice or if they just said “this is what we are making, design it”.
Also, why would anyone think kids would play with anything involving “crustations?”
Oh and for the record I would of suggested some Firefighter boardgame, where you have to climb a building and resuce people and the firefighter who resuced the most people by the end wins.

I’m with you on that. It’s amazing how fast they can put these shitty reality shows together. It seems that one ends and there’s another already in it’s place.
I enjoyed it. Pamala needs to chill out a little bit. Here you have the largest toy company in the world, and she’s whining about how Mattel doesn’t know what they’re doing and she does (even though she has no kids). It was also nice of her to get on Carolyn’s bad side right away by making fun of the kids. She has no hope of making it very far, but we’ll see when she gets bumped off. Bradford should smooth out his leadership style more, but I like him. Raj isn’t the next Sam. I think that Stacy may be filling that void - she’s just nuts, not Omarosa evil, but Sam nuts.
Anywho, I saw the first thirty minutes or so, Mosaic? Does one team purposely pick something silly every year? That bowtie is P-I-M-P? Why didn’t Andy get fired right then and there? And look! an early competition won without the sex sells approach, I figure they decided to deal with actual corporations instead of the public in order to nip that practice in the bud, or am I assuming too much?
Anybody actually just pick a guy to win it all before the season really starts? I just went with Roy, didn’t see the last hour so I’m not entirely sure why he seems like a plant, outside of his pants… but he at least knew the name wasa dumb, unlike just about his entire team.
The first mission is better than any mission from the first season. How does that happen?
I’m kinda suprised Rob got the boot. I had him pegged as the new Sam. I need to see a few more episodes to decide about Raj. He’s either playing a character or he had a really, really weird childhood. Maybe the new Sam is Maria. That bitch crazy!
I liked Bradford until the first meeting for the mission. What kind of idiot discounts and ignores his ENTIRE TEAM so he can do what he wants? Apparently he didn’t watch the first season or take any kind of management course in school.
As soon as Pamela made those comments about the kids during playtime, I couldn’t wait to see the Board Room. You could just tell Carolyn was waiting to unload with both barrels. I love that woman. The only way it could have better was if one of those kids belonged to Carolyn.
They’re replaying this episode on Saturday with an extra 20 minutes of Board Room footage. That makes me wonder exactly how long each Board Room session takes.

I’m not sure how I feel just yet. I’m waiting to get to know the group a little better.
I do know that I liked the first batch of peeps better than this one, and I’ll plug in early on that I think Andy is going to do well. I don’t care too much for Bradford as of this posting.
I was impressed that Pam did not choose a third person, but I was put off by her remarks regarding the kids. She’s tough. As tough as Carolyn, in fact. I don’t think she’ll get booted early.
I’m not sure what happened with Stacie that made her flip out, but her group didn’t help matters much by adding to her paranoia. Did she feel that she would be treated like O simply because she is black, so she jumped the gun? Hard to say. Right away, though, that one gal said that Stacie needs to be outted next. Hmm. Interesting.
I’m not that enthusiastic after this first show as I thought I’d be. Hopefully, it gets better.

Bradford is right about “too much input”. Ivana has to be able to filter out the crap and come to some sort of cohesion. Otherwise, it’s just white noise.

John is an asshat. These challenges are never that close. It always comes down to one team doing something right and one team doing something wrong.

Bradford is so wonderfully sleazy. But he knows that sex sells. Now maybe Ivana’s right that they didn’t have to play that card, but Mosaic already had a leg up with that bow-tie thing.

I’m really enjoying watching Raj. I thought he would be batshit crazy like Sam, but while he’s a bit eccentric, I think he is honestly on the ball whereas Sam was just balls.

BURN! That dude with the permit was fuckin awesome. While I questioned Bradford’s iron-fist approach for the last challenge, I think it might be necessary for a team such as his where everyone is combating for supremacy, the project manager has to lay down the law and not let everyone just wander to the four corners of the earth.

Pamela is so unremarkable it’s somewhat surprising as to why she’s on this show. It’s one thing to be crappy at your job but be entertaining, but to be crappy AND not entertaining? Fuck that. Kick her to the curb ASAP.

It really seems like Jennifer was leading Apex this challenge more than Ivana.

That was a great final note to ask if the entire amount could be donated to the charity. Mosaic really kicked ass to not only win by $250, but that was AFTER giving to the charity and buying the donuts.

Most astounding moment of the episode: Raj wearing a regular tie.

It’s a good thing Bradford can’t be fired. Not smart to get the judge’s name wrong. But Carolyn was dead-on. She’s definitely one of the best aspects of this show.

I liked how Bradford’s ballsy move to wave his exemption. Obviously the judges thought it was stupid, but I think a leader needs to step up and not just hide behind some gimmick.

Wow. STUPID, STUPID move by Trump. Bradford had the courage of his convictions and it wasn’t a brash move. If he did make a mistake, it was by not standing by his decision to wave to his exemption. But honestly, that was bad move by Trump. To leave weaker players like Ivana and Stacie in the game simply because of that one move? It’s no wonder Trump has come close to bankruptcy in the past.
So far, I’m really not on board with this season. I feel like a lot of the players are along the lines of Pamela: snooty, stuck-up, untalented, and with a sense of entitlement.
What a clusterfuck of finger pointing. The boardroom became so chaotic that I bust out laughing. There’s bad and then there’s the abyss. Yowza.
I agree about Andy, the fun of this challenge and especially Pam’s remark regarding not responding to authority. The way Mosaic went charging into that Dunkin Donuts had me laughing. Um, Raj? It’s not mandatory that you must eat breakfast when you have hypoglycemia. Food for thought.
I disagree that Trump made the wrong decision. Everyone wanted Stacie to get the boot. The only mistake that Stacie made was to give the wrong location. I saw her as assertive in trying to line up people to help sell the ice cream and maybe she should have shared her idea first; but had that idea been agreed upon, she would have been rewarded not reprimanded. Her group gathered around in private to try and get a mass vote to can her which was wrong! Totally wrong. They view her as another Omarosa which she is not.
After watching the first season, why were they not smart enough to have Maria take a cell phone with her before she went trucking 10 blocks to try and locate the other cart? Why did they have anybody go and try to locate the other cart on foot in the first place? All Maria would have done once she found them was to ask them to please join the other group. They couldn’t have phoned them and said come to us to save anybody going on the hunt? Three hours wasted for nothing.
Bradford slit his own throat. First, by promoting the sex sells approach by wanting to play pimp by requesting that the girls wear short skirts and tube tops. As Trump stated, you can take a pretty girl and put her in a uniform and the ice cream would still sell. Duh! Secondly, he was too cocky. Always smiling. “A hustler”, as one stated. I don’t know about how you all feel, but anyone that smiles even when it’s not the time nor place is someone not to be trusted. He became SO cocky, that he felt that he was being generous by giving up his own free pass. It only served to show that he was trying to score brownie points. If he was running a company and any of his employees deserved to be fired, he was basically stating that he would drop his own position of authority by sinking to their level to rally in support of them. Buh-bye, Brad.
Ivana was nothing but extremely lucky. If Brad had not been fired, she would have been. She knew it and that’s why she freaked at the end.
Had Mosaic lost, Pamela would have been fired for wasting so much time learning about the ice cream business instead of the task at hand. Her team would have outted her in a heartbeat.
I loved the bowties! Being quirky does have its benefits.

Whats with the women. At this point I don’t care for a single woman on this show. Hell the one I actually like the most is Stacie for being the only person to take inititive in selling the ice cream (we know someone had to, their team leader wasn’t going to do it). Yes she has control issues, and why is it “I’m not here to make friends, so I won’t”. Why can’t it be “I’m not here to make friends, but I’m sure as hell not adverse to doing so”. Or do they think people skills are not nessecary in a business? This was going on last week too. I mean the only reason why Bradford had to make an “excusive decision” was because the women were going with ideas left and right (I got a feeling the only reason why they went with the remote control customizable car was because Brad made it clear they had to state one idea now to change his mind)
Oh and hats off to NBC. When a commeral comes on saying “You won’t believe what occurs” or “You will be talking about this for the season” typically its bullshit. The NBC commerical said I’d be talking about the boardroom and indeed I will be (not for the whole season or anything, but probably till I talk about the show with my brother).
I think you being to unfair Matt, with the “exploting decease to sell ice cream”. A portion of their profits goes to charity. While we are on this subject though I was wondering something. During the compition we saw the men state that a part of the profits would be going to the charity. At that point I didn’t see anyone talk to any members of the charaty organization. Is it legal to do this if you haven’t talked to the charity involved (I know latter on we see that one member did indeed talk to the charity, but I was just wondering in general. Couldn’t it be seen as a business nameing a charity as a sponcer when it isn’t)
I was just joking about the charity thing. I think it’s great that they gave to the charity and it was certainly a win-win situation. I think when dealing with a non-profit, there’s no penalty for using their name because it’s not like you’re depriving them of profits as long as you give them some percentage. After all, it IS charity so there’s no set amount. And like I said, it was super cool that they gave the entire proceeds to charity after the win.

I think what Trump was driving that was that Brad was in a position of safety and he stupidly put himself in danger. What if his company was operating in a safe position and he stupidly made a decision to put the company in jeopardy? Bradford is way too brash and full of himself to be an effective leader. I guess that is what makes him a good attorney, but not a good businessman.
