The 250 Greatest TV Moments of All Time (Chewer Edition)

Farley’s Chippendales Dance off with Patrick Swayze.

Lemmiwinks and his journey through the gay man’s ass. (South Park)

Alright people, it’s important that you put the number next to your entry and that you post one entry per post, per day.

Not sure what number we’re up to, and since I don’t feel like fucking counting, I use this post’s number.
45. The episode of Star Trek: Voyager when the Q wants to become mortal and end his life. The crew travels to an approximation of the Continuum, which ends up as a run down general store in the middle of nowhere with a long stretch of highway going away from it in all directions. You finally get the skinny on what life was like for Q.

Good call, Fazer. Loved the QL episode.

For me: West and Hawkes lying on their bunks at the end of S:A&B…

  1. Lister begs Krytan to take off his underwear when Rimmer walks in (Red Dwarf)

Thanks L7, I got sort of lost

Technically the next one needs to be listed as the 42nd entry. If I had mod, I’d change all the entries to reflect this.

42. The tracking shot in “The Storm, Part Two” that follows in and out of the ER, ending with Weaver teling Ross, “YOU ARE NOT WORKING AT THIS HOSPITAL!” (ER)

  1. Carol Burnett Show, the Gone With The Wind spoof, when Carol walks down the stairs in the dress with the drapes and says, “I saw this in the window and just couldn’t resist.”
  1. The series finale to M*A*S*H
  1. When Magnum puts down the rifle and lets the M.I.A. trade come off.
  1. Phillip Drebin adopts two black kids. (Different Strokes)
  1. The Kool-Aid man bursts through the courthouse wall, only to look around and run away, from the series premiere of Family Guy.

Keep in mind, I can’t stand that show for the most part. But that one gag has never failed to make me keel over in laughter.

  1. “Oh yeah? Well I had sex with your wife!”
  1. Bob Newhart waking up next to Suzanne Pleshette at the end of Newhart.
  1. Col Blakes plane was shot down over the sea of Japan there were no survivers
  1. Detonation of nuclear bomb in 24 Season 2 and president palmer sitting in his plane seat watching it happen.

Your swiss-cheesed brain probably doesn’t remember, but… the first time around, Oswald killed Jackie, too.

Or,

Sam: [chuckles] Al’s uncle?

Al “The Bartender”: [smiles] I’ve always found coincidence amusing.

Sam: And you expect me to buy that I’m leaping me?

Al “The Bartender”: Sam, if you became a priest…

Sam: I’ve been a priest…

Al “The Bartender”: So you have. If the priesthood had been your chosen life, even though the Church might sent you from parish to parish, don’t you have to accept responsibility for the life you lead?

Sam: Even priests can quit.

Al “The Bartender”: That’s true. But they can also take sabbaticals, especially before embarking on a difficult new assignment.

Sam: Are you saying the Leaps are going to get tougher?

Al “The Bartender”: [putting his hand on Sam’s shoulder] Where would you like to go, Sam?

Sam: Home.
[wiping a tear away from his eye]

Sam: I’d like to go home. But I can’t. I’ve got a wrong to put right, first for Al. You knew, didn’t you?

Al “The Bartender”: [smiles] God bless, Sam.
[Sam Leaps for the Final Time]

I still remember the closing, Al made it home after 'Nam and Sam was never able to leap back home. Heavy stuff.

  1. Man Utd scoring two goals in two minutes to sink Bayern Munich in the 99 Champions’ league final.

I’m not even a Man U fan but that was an extraordinary moment of sport, and we got to see lots of Germans crying

  1. The revelation between Lionel and Lex in Memoria, Smallville (Highlight)
He finds out Lex did not kill his baby son, and thus his hatred these years was based on a lie(end high)
