I knew that Laura Innes, aka Gimp Doctor from ER (although she’s not a gimp anymore, correct?), was a pretty capable tv director–she helmed two of my favorite ‘West Wings,’ “Let Bartlet Be Bartlet” and “Shibboleth” (which I watch every Thanksgiving).
I did not, however, know until recently that she was a writer on that Nickelodeon live-action classic, “Hey Dude.” I guess things really are a little wild and a little strange when you make your home out on the range.

Not really a “just realised” thing as I noticed it right away, but Simon Pegg is also in Band of Brothers. He met David Schwimmer while shooting it, and Schwimmer is directing one of Pegg’s upcoming films and co-starring with him in another.

The whole point of Rath’s post has been ruined by the countless “I’ve always known this but…did you know Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks produced ‘Band of Brothers’? I re-watched season 2 of 24 about 2 months ago and realized the guy who saved Kim from the cougar (or was it a jaguar?) was Kevin Dillon aka Johnny Drama. I got a good laugh out of that one.
Not too long ago FOX showed a Seinfeld episode where Michael Chiklis guess appeared. Totally hilarious. The dude had hair and was coming into the city to chill with Jerry and ended up picking up a hooker.
I’ve just realised that Grey’s Anatomy is one of the worst shows in the history of television and yet is loved by everyone and their mother.
I’ve just realized that Quarant has enough time on his hands to watch every show in the history of television.
Hey, it took me eight episodes to realize that, and that was after I bought both seasons on DVD. Could be worse.
That Michael Chiklis has done voice work on Family Guy. Martin Landau did the voice of “The Scorpion” in the mid-90s Spider Man and that Stephen Colbert once did a report for Good Morning America as a actual journalist and not his “character”.
I sincerely did not know that ER is still on. How long has it been since Clooney left? I thought it ended a few seasons after.
Clooney left in the fifth season; show’s been on for a total of thirteen seasons and every original cast member from the show is now gone.

I’m watching the second season right now, and I have to say, Weaver is probally my favorite character in the whole run of the show.

I still find it somewhat amusing that Dr. Green’s daughter on ER was named Rachel, and Rachel Green was Jennifer Anniston’s character on Friends. No way they can be the same character, but it’s fun to imagine sometimes.
I always wanted to see a network have the same continuity as a comic book company, with all their shows taking place in the same world. Could be interesting.

I just did some Googling and, apparently, Rachel’s dad on Friends is a Dr. Green. ER Dr. Green’s daughter did develop a drug habit and ran away to St. Louis or something like that, and he died shortly thereafter, but it’s definitely plausible.
I mean, if Family Matters is a sequel to the Die Hard movies, why can’t this be true?
Does that make Perfect Strangers a prequel to DIE HARD?
And should I shoot myself because I know Family Matters is a spin-off from Perfect Strangers?
