Being unfamiliar with the types of characters, can we expect a couple of GM characters to fill the Cast thread also?
There will be several GM run characters. You mean, set one out as an example?

I’m working on my character right now, if you guys need an example.
Here’s a character I just made up that is not specifially from the campaign. Just think of it as an example.
Name: Erghi
Class: Einherjar (Honored Dead)
Description: A 5’8", stocky 40-something warrior with a braided, brown beard and small eyes.
Personality: Gruff but kind, enjoys hearty laughter and is quite fond of the drink. A good man, a proud warrior and utterly loyal.
Equipment: Nimblestick - a shortspear crafted of enchanted wood that is unbreakable. Erghi wears a set of loose chain mail, and a strong helm bearing ram’s horns. His shield is made of solid oak, burned with a rune of protection. At his side he carries a long knife in a leather sheath. He rides a stallion called Mangir, a spotted white and black horse that he trusts as a friend.
Skills: Erghi is a seasoned spearfighter, and swings his heavy shield with as much precision as he could any club. He is a skilled hunter, a decent horseman, but is lost at the arts of cooking and song. A fairly “typical” member of the Viking hierarchy, he is now revered as a veteran, a time-tested son of Odin.
History: Erghi was a Berserker that fought for his clan until he was the last standing. He gave his life in a magnificent and brutal attack on the opposing savage chieftain. Honored in the halls of Valhalla, he takes part in the daily fighting and feasting, waiting for the one day when trumpets will call him back into “real” battle, one last time.
My character is up. (sorry of some of those parts got a bit long, logan )

Name: Dean “Jimmy” Baker
Class: Mortal (U.S. Marine)
Description: 6’2" Redneck with a blonde buzz-cut and a muscular frame
Personality: Jimmy is a wisecracking jackass who pulls more practical jokes in a Frat House in Pledge Week. He spits, he cusses, and he takes no shit from his peers. A die-hard Amreican patriot.
Equipment: Jimmy dresses in Marine fatigues, changing attire as dictated by his mission. He lugs an M-60 into battle whenever possible, and chains of ammo wrap his shoulder. He carries a bootknife, a pair of dirty binocs and a field kit in a small, rough green satchel.
Skills: He is a master machinegunner, sacrificing the eloquence of single fire weapons with the brute force of his preferred rifles. When stripped of his guns, he will rely on his knife, or his “legendary” Alabama one-two punch.
History: Jimmy jumped into military service as soon as he was old enough. He was glad to be summoned to serve in the Second Gulf War. He has become more reckless in these trying times, risking life and limb for his comrades, or even just for a chance to take out a good number of the opposition. A “loose cannon”, with the guns and the brawn to back up his temper.
I have a question: how come no one else has posted a character yet? Come on guys, I need to know the competition wink
The campaingn has only 6 people signed up so far. Give it another day and a few more will hopefully post.

Good man. Anyone that mentions a Hibben knife (even if they screw his name up) is aces in my book.
I was thinking of a Gibbon knife, but monkeys probably make shitty blades.
I was thinking of a Hebner knife, but then all my fights would be fixed.
