About this Dharma Initiative issue.
I stumbled over a complete video-version of the tiny tidbits and cuts that where used in this online game (whatever it is called).
Surprisingly interesting.
And it solves some secrets, or at least sheds some light upon them. Especially on the numbers…Wonder if this belongs to the canon of this show.

Sorry, Has been discussed before.
Just as a refresher for the opener, the current situation is that Jack, Sawyer, and Kate are held captive by the others and Hurley is set free, while Michael and his son are floating away on some boat on a seemingly futile escape. Henry Gale is pretty much the leader of the others. Sayid was on some secondary spy mission that I can’t remember anything resulting from. What are Locke, Eko, and Charlie doing, I can’t remember. What else am I missing?

Gale said Michael and his son would find rescue if they followed a cretain heading, and he probably is telling the truth after a fashion.
Sayid, Jin, and Sun went to ambush the Others but found out their base and hatch were false. They are apparently returning to the beach.
Henry Gale told Michael he is taking Jack, Kate, and Sawyer home with them.
Charlie safely returned to the beach after the hatch went bad.
Locke, Eko, and Desmond are MIA.
Desmond’s girlfriend has picked up the island’s transmission.
Is the premiere supposed to be one hour or two?

Don’t forget that Locke, Eko, and Desmond are MIA because Desmond activated the failsafe for the Swan, possibly blowing the joint up.
And that Sayid, Jin, and Sun found a giant statute of a leg with four toes as they sailed around the island to the fake Others camp.

Nothing major really but it would’ve been nice to see the guy who seem’s to get the a lot of the credit for the show to finally do something.

thank you subotai and gravedigger, it’s all coming back to me now. As always, they could go in a lot of directions with this first episode.
I’ll admit it: I’m one of those lame-ass people having a LOST get-together for the season premiere. Food, drinks, high-def tv. And I’ll be doing the same this Friday for Battlestar, although we get a shitty, shitty Sci-Fi channel signal.

He wrote the premiere tonight, so that’s something. But I agree, I’d like to know he’s involved with this show more heavily than his other, crappy ones.
Also, scale of one to ten, I am definitely at a20 for tonight’s premiere. I love it when good shit sneaks up on you, and I totally forgot this was on until yesterday.
Then again, I think I heard somewhere they’re doing the same thing they did for the second season premiere-- not showing the fates of certain characters at all until the second episode – and that kinda sucks.
Last season’s first couple shows felt a bit like they should have been a two hour episode, and if this is the same (e.g./i.e. going back over the SAME time period for second episode and third episode) then I’d be annoyed.
I think some people got ticked off with last years opening episode for that reason: it was the fourth episode before that first night was over.
I knew it was just a matter of time until the Brechtsky wand of Lost commentary would be waving. I’m also expecting some invisible spoilers from Hewlett again this season.
To further wet everyone’s LOST appetite, here are some tidbits from TV Guide’s Michael Ausiello. These are answers to some questions. I’ve blacked out a few sections that I do not consider to be spoilers at all, but I can see how some people don’t want ANYTHING ruined.

Kate in the shower. Thumbs up for that. I told myself that I’d wait for the DVDs again but I don’t know that I can or want to. At least for this first run of new episodes.

The others will take our favorite castaways to a thriving city with all the modern conveniences…but the toilets flush backwards…cue the credits.

You know, I assumed it was in a flashback, but I guess you could be right. If the fact that Kate gets to bathe ruins the show for you tonight - I sincerely apologize… and you need to get a life.

you completely ruined it for me, now and in the future. I’m never watching Lost again.
