I really wanted to hate this show (because I’ve got too many things recording on Monday night).
Take quantum leap and throw in Hiro from Heroes inability to control where he teleports and add one of the sexiest ladies in primetime TV, Moon Goodblood or is it Moon Bloodgood? Anyway, she’s hot and makes this show worth watching.
Well the atypical twist in the pilot is what makes this show worth watching…
also you see women in their panties.
Watch the pilot and I bet you’ll at least stick around for episode 2.
I think I liked this more than anything else I’ve seen so far this year. The editing gets a little confusing in the middle, but I think if helps you understand the confusion of jumping around that the character is experiencing.
The ending was a little hokey, but overall I really liked this. That and it’s got Kellerman in it, which makes it even better.
Of this, Chuck, Bionic Woman, and Life that were OnDemand, I thought this was the best of the 4.
Spoilers
I like that there will be 2 competing journeymen(women) and that we don’t have to worry about him trying to save his gf. That would have gotten old fast.

well, i think they made the girlfriend who died a journeyperson to avoid him having to question why he is never sent to save her as opposed to all the strangers he is going to save. also, my guess is she knew he was a journey person before he did because on one of her early excursions she met a future him while on a trip to the past. she, also, might have known while they were together before she died. (her trip from the plane crash might not have been her first.)
i had some problems with the affects of time travel. some instances the changes were overall, saving the kid to he could save the kids on the bus, other times, the tool box which should have been discovered when the patio was original dug - it wasn’t buried that deep - but didn’t appear until he reappeared to dig it up.
I liked it. It’s probably my least favorite “liked” pilots I’ve seen, but I thought it was good enough to catch the next handful of episodes. I didn’t like that it CONSTANTLY reminded us that he was in the past, like with music and cell phones and such, but the Bloodgood twist was cool and the end was nicely sobering. And the man has killed werewolves and Romans. I’ll follow him to hell.
Does Bloodgood just have bad luck with men, men who are caught in temporal loops? I wouldn’t be surprised to find out she will be starring in the Time-Traveller’s Wife, next.
Someone has read “The Time Traveller’s Wife” on that show. At least Lucius gets to keep his clothes on. I hope, like that book, that he plays the stock market with this new found power. Love the twist with his fiancee too. I’m in for a few more eps.
I hope this show is better than it looks(I saw previews for it and it just looks so-so)because “Life” seems more like the show I’ll end up liking instead.
I watched a little of it (I was finishing my son’s new Lego set for him while my wife watched it), and the one thing that stood out for me was that the wife annoyed the crap out of me. Otherwise, it was interesting enough to watch the next episode.
Ohh, the brother was Terry Crowley on The Shield! I couldn’t place him last night and then I checked IMDB this morning. I’m an idiot. I also didn’t recognize Adam Baldwin till about halfway through Chuck last night.

Yeah, that Y2K line really ruined things for me. All of the time cues were pretty terrible. Curious about the twist with Moon Bloodgood at the end, so I’ll watch a bit more.
I dug the hell out of this last night. I admit I was prepared to skim through it and erase it afterwards but it grabbed my attention and held on to it all the way through. I really dig how he can bring things back into the past with him. I can see in the later episodes him having to go all doc brown with a money pouch that has difference currency from the ages. Also, he should get a new cell phone, one with a cache based web browser so he can keep looking at the articles after he goes back in time.
this dude will always be Jez Torrent from Lovefist for me, then Dog Soldiers guy (never saw Rome). the sadist in me wants to watch this show just to see him try an american accent.
