When we last left our hero, he was going into surgery because he was shot by the Earth 2 version of Christopher Meloni. As he passed out he left instructions for ketamine sedation. The theory is that the ketamine resets the brain and will stop House from being in constant pain because of his leg. Will Cuddy approve the procedure? Will it work? Will Wilson permanently move in with House? Will Cameron magically show up at my door for a “house call”? Tune in next week to find out!
And if you don’t want the first couple episodes spoiled for you, don’t be stupid like me and read that TV Guide issue that’s out now. Or if you do want to be spoiled, swipe right…NOW! The ketamine reboot thing actually works. House wakes up and is a nice, cordial guy who likes everyone. Apparently this will throw Cameron for a loop and, OMG, sexual tension. UNSWIPE!

And yeah, after the greatness of Season 2, I’m definitely looking forward to where the show will go from here. I’m also psyched for the arc of episodes involving David Morse as a detective who gets into everyone’s business.
I got hooked on this show over the summer. Caught a rerun on USA after Law and Order and have managed to see just about every episode since. Glad Fox was showing two episodes a week.
Can’t wait for it to start back. Hope we see more Casey Jones.

Confusingly, Fox will be airing it at 8:00 in September in the hope that it will steer a lead-in audience to the new series Standoff, then the two shows will switch places (Of course, this being Fox, this tactic is subject to change at minimal notice if it doesn’t work out).
The Season 2 DVD set appears to be a lot better than season one so far. For one thing, they abandoned the shitty double-sided DVDs. For another, there are commentaries with Shore on some episodes, including the awesome season finale.

Me neither! I have been looking forward to this more than anything else on TV. Sadly, the Gilmore Girls will have to go on the back burner while House is in the same timeslot.
I got to admit, I was pretty skeptical about tonight’s premiere based on some of the things I’d heard about the aftermath of the surgery.
Luckily, this episode resolved everyone of my fears–the leg, the apparent ‘niceness’ (which, I don’t know what everyone else saw, but he was just as big a bastard as he’s been in past years…the only difference is that you now know he’s always been a bastard), and, especially, the pain medication addiction–while keeping to a brisk pace.
And that last scene, with the return of the mighty Stones, has me hooked again. I’m VCRing this next week for sure.
Also, Cameron looked like she was back on the meth. Lisa Edelstein, however, was smoking.
I like that this new season is almost the opposite of what House has dealt with before. House is having a hard time giving up having pain in his life, which is very intriging.
I also loved the blood stain left over from when he was shot last season.
