Great setup episode tonight. Not really funny but the Aquaman storyline has potential.
I could see Johnny Drama eventually becoming a bigger star in the storyline this season.
I don’t know if Johnny drama will really become a huge success. I think it was more for the last shot, where the two guys are bummed, and the other two are psyched.
I think this show is good. I liked the premiere. Hope it stays strong for several seasons.

Great performances all around, but Piven continues to own. I loved every scene he was in.
Drama, Turtle and Arie (period).
Besides being the worst actor of the group, am I the only one who thinks Vincent, or the guy who plays Vincent is ugly?
great start to the season. really liked it but i can’t see this show coming back for another season. the ratings were even worse then last year. too bad.

I concur. Ari is one vicious, unrelenting bastard.
Ari’s line about “Sodomy night at the Gold house” had me rolling. Man I love this character. How perfect was Eric’s break up line to his girlfriend? Even if he did feel guilty about it at the time it sure was nice to have that ammo ready to go.
The scene with Ari and his wife when he was attempting to leave and go to the Playboy mansion was hilarious.
“Ari Gold, Super Agent, forgot his Viagra.”
Also, giving Ralph Macchio and Pauly Shore cameos was frickin’ inspired.
I didn’t enjoy this episode as much as the previous two, but they can’t all be gold, I guess.
I do like what’s happening with Eric. I had a feeling from last week’s show, the way he got
that phone number by saying he was Vince’s manager, that he would gradually start to be-
come more Hollywood. The show really is about him, after all. And Vince made some comment
about Eric being like Ari. And I think that’s the direction the show is headed, where Ari and
Eric will form a common front against Vince’s self-indulgent tendencies.
This show just keeps getting better by the episode. Makes me want to buddy up with every attractive actor who hasn’t hit it big yet.
I think its safe to say this show has hit its stride. Mainly because someone realized the star of this show is Jeremy Piven. Man, he’s been on fire. I love when he freaks out and goes off on people. And of course, Drama is the greatest. Watching him get his as kicked by a “girl” was the highlight of the show. Good stuff.

I am extremely interested to see James Cameron act in the next episode.
I think its good they’ve not put so much of the emphasis on “E” this season.
I know he is the most central character, the way SJP was on Sex and the City, but I think the show works best when everyone gets an equal amount of time in focus, such as this last episode. Drama was karate, Turtle was videogaming it up, vincent was doing the commercial, and E was working on the aquaman stuff.
Oh and I loved when piven was walking out his office, and his assistant said he had a call, and he responded, “Do I look like I’m here?” . . . that and “cha-ching, chang chung”

I too love it when Ari goes off on people. Piven plays that character perfectly. Seeing Drama get his ass kicked was great and the commercial at the end was hilarious.
When is HBO gonna wise up and give Piven his own spinoff show as Ari? He gets way too little screen time and could easily do both shows. His family scenes with his wife are great and you could get some great cameos as his clients. Makes me wish Cupid was still on.

Piven is definately the man in this show. The scenes with him and his wife are hilarious. Hopefully this show gets a 3rd season.
this week’s episode was fucking gold. when drama showed up in the commercial i totally lost it.

As much as I equal the Ari love on here, I think it works great because it comes infrequently. You are just waiting for him to explode each show, and see what crazy line he says next. If he had his own show, it may get a little old.
Gotta agree that Sunday’s episode was a good one. I usually don’t mind Turtle character but him losing to the kid just didn’t do it for me. The whole drug testing joke was funny though. Also, I actually liked Vincent Chase in this one. He is my least favorite character for some reason, I just don’t think he can act all that well, but I think he is getting better as the show goes on.
And, per usual, Drama was the freaking man. Kevin Dillon seems to really be getting comfortable in this role and is just nailing it.
