I might as well start this thread.
We’re about 10 days away from the season premiere, and since The Sopranos are taking a little break until the new year, this is the only thing people should watch on HBO (fuck Big Love).
I saw a little teaser for the new season on G4. More of the same stuff we come to love. Turtle being a smartass, wild parties, hot girls, and Ari gold being a dick.
So, what are everyones expectations for this new season?

Deadwood starts its new season the same night. And people should also watch The Wire.
But back on topic, I hope they keep the right balance between the guys and Ari. Piven is great, but too much him and the agency storyline runs the risk of turning it into the Ari Gold Show.
Does anyone know if this season starts right after the second season finale or will Aquaman have already been released for a while when this starts up?
I believe the season starts w/ the premiere of the movie.
It picks up right before the release of Aquaman.
Did I see Herc from the Wire in one of the promos? What’s his role on the show?
I can’t wait for the encore of the 3rd season of the Wire. I’ve only seen the first two, which are fantastic, so it’ll all be new to me. The Sopranos and Lost are leaving some big shoes to fill, but between that and Deadwood, I think I’ll be all right.

Assellio over at TVguide says we can expect the introduction of a new character. He’s an old friend/convict from New York who comes to LA and Vince is not happy to see him. This character will also comment on how LA has changed the gang.
I expect to see lots of orange shirts and green pants and less lame jokes that use Pauly Shore as a punchline.
do people actually think that Turtle is funny? maybe they do. I definitely don’t, I consider Turtle and Eric to just be douchebag filler characters while Ari and Drama provide the laughs.

I have read one spoiler for the new season: Aquaman tanks at the box office.
As for the rest of the new season, I’m excited. I concur with Hewlett in that the show is in danger of becoming the Ari Gold show (which isn’t too bad, but I’m happy with the way the show is going now).
Man, I just tore through the first season on DVD and the second season at a friend’s house who had it “on demand”. Absolutely hilarious, especially Piven and Dillon really gave me a whole bunch of laugh-out-loud moments.

Damn. After starting the second season after the filming of Queens Boulevard, I was hoping to get some of the Aquaman filming to be part of the show. Oh well.

This show is like a guy’s version of Sex And The City. Without the nudity. I enjoy it, but its junk food.
that’s true, Entourage should have more nudity.
there’s still a pretty good amount of eye candy, be it nude or not.

It’s getting really good reviews for it’s third season, can’t wait for this tonight!

Good opener. Everything seems about as on target as it was last season. James Woods stole the episode.

Damn them for always ending the show when you’re completely immersed in it.
At first I hated the 30 minute running time but now I love it. Things move quickly and you dont start looking at the time to see how much has passed, if anything you look to see how little you have left and hope for some more good moments.
Piven has all the good lines but I love the attitude all the guys have with each other. They feel like a genuine group of friends.
