He got off pretty easy I think.
The WORSE FOR THEM is about painful, horrible deaths. He deserved it, but that’s not what the list is about.
Not only is Queenan’s death a giant bummer, but he manages to speckle DiCaprio with his skull blood on the way out. Death is never not messy in a Marty film.
Lists. Back in action. This one seems like it should be a good time.
And I totally agree. I wrote CASINO off after seeing it in the theaters. But like a violin, its notes have gotten deeper and richer with more playing. Definitely worthy of being in the Marty S great movies canon.
Great Children of the Corn joke. I keep saying it in my Pescivoice in my head and laughing.

This List should be a blast!
The silent shot of Queenan falling from the roof is what really does it. There’s all this chaos and noise as Costigan tries to escape and the baddies come rushing into the building, and then comes that abrupt edit to him quietly falling. People gasped big time in the theater when he bit it.

I still cannot watch that scene in Casino to this day. The thought of watching your brother beaten to death with bats coupled with the “ting” of the aluminum on the bone just nauseates me.
Please stop with the speculating!
I forgot Captain Queenan got ran over after the fall.
Casino has been my favorite Scorsese flick since I saw it with the folks back in the dollar theater in '95. I revisit it every few months. The baseball bat death really is sick. The metal clinking on the bones. Damn.
