It’s all part of the subtle turf war going on between Puppetmaster and 86.
Damn I gotta explain this whole thing again. I post em early so people know the exact date and they know when to watch. Sure they could check on their own but it can be a pain in the ass and if they’re in here and they see it theyll know. Second with them redoing the trailers and making next week look new I don’t want anyone to fuck up and be disappointed or to not watch in two weeks cuz they think its a rerun, its just a way to mark your calendar. Also this gives people some time for predictions and all that mess. And its not like everyone has to use this or anything. Oh and if this is a lil turf war I think ol 86 is winning, i mean i make an angel thread before he does, so he makes another one. So now theres a worthless thread lying around but oh well.
Yeah, but TWO WEEKS in advance? C’mon…this is no different from that “FIRST!” poster garbage over at AICN. There’s no real reason to start these threads so early other than bragging rights, and that just seems kinda ridiculous.
Plus, the episode synopsis for each week almost always contains spoilers, which probably makes most people hesitant to enter the thread until after they watch the episode, so I don’t think these threads are too useful for speculating.
People know Buffy is on Tuesdays. You don’t have to remind them.
This thing you and 86 have going on about being the first to start these threads makes me feel creeped out.
Plus, with the way UPN is spacing out these last few shows, I pretty much play countdown to my new fix starting every Wednesday. I imagine most Buffy fans do the same. Also, what the fuck, UPN? Every trailer they put together for the show is light-hearted. Then you watch the fucker and it’s dark as shit. But I’m off on a tangent…

I don’t know about in Atlanta, but here the trailers are presented by Acuvue, so already they’ve lost a little suspense and excitment. But I agree, the trailers for the following weak are piss.

From the trailer, it looks like Buffy is losing her leadership to a degree. I doubt the “betrayal” line is more than that.

Betrayal Floats would have been better. I like Caleb. It’s appropriate that in her final battle she’s going up against the embodiment of the misogynist patriarchy. As it gets closer to the end, it’s harder and harder to resist the temptation of spoilerhood.
