Exactly. Trying to plug 5 extra prime time hours each week? There’s no way. They could possibly cut Leno down to 3 nights a week though and probably have a couple of things they could throw on the air and give a chance.

That and returning shows that were forced to take reduced orders this season (like Chuck and Law & Order) would get additional episodes produced to fill in slots.

I dunno, I would have thought the two Tyler Perry shows and the Bill Engvall show would have been canned by now. But TBS seems to have found a way to keep them on. I don’t see Lopez tonight being any different.

I am surprised that Fox even gave Dollhouse 13 episodes considering how terrible the Ratings have been. Whedon hasn’t got that much pull? Has he?
Is this the season where Law & Order takes the “longest running show ever” crown? If not, it’s not going anywhere.
I don’t like all this naysaying about Chuck before a single episode has even aired. All reports say the NBC brass have all really liked the episodes and scripts they’ve seen so far. I do think pretty much everything on currently on NBC that isn’t L&O, Fat Fatties, or Thursday night will be nuked by the end of the year, though.
Terrible call moving Fringe against everything huge. I like that show, and if there’s room for 20 odd overly similar procedurals on TV, we should at least get to keep the scifi one. They’ll probably bump it to another time slot before they dump it, if only because of Abrams, Kurtzman and Orci.
I believe Simpsons takes the longest running crown this year, and they’re in no danger of ending anytime soon.
Getting a “Friday Night Deathslot” vibe with Fringe.

The show’s a bit of a hit and doesn’t expect much from its viewers. There’s no way it won’t get at least one more season.
I hope not. The very nature of its story is best contained within a single season.
