While I would never buy the book, because I don’t want to put any money into his pocket; I gotta say, I’ll probably check this out. It’s the car wreck on the side of the road factor, sure it can be horrific, but you can help but look.

I’m curious though, has anyone in the media asked OJ WHY he would do this? If he really proclaims he’s innocent, what does he think we’ll learn from this? I’d really love to hear his answer to that.

And how can someone not be interested in seeing this? This is train wreck marketing at the highest order. The more people talk about it, the more people will tune in. Now, I’m not saying they’ll watch the whole thing, or even care, but people will watch, Ray. People will watch.
I’ll probably watch, maybe not proudly, but I’ll watch just the same. Frankly I’d just like to know what happened to Al Cowlings and I hope for an update on his comings and goings.

I was appalled then, and I’m appalled now that its getting turned into a TV series. Seriously, Fox execs really have no souls.
I find it very interesting that you guys are talking about FOX and not OJ.
FOX is an entertainment corporation. Entertainment corporations are out to make money. Period. Are you suprised they would stoop this low? I’m not. Quite frankly, I think they and many others have stooped much lower.
OJ on the other hand…I don’t know how he could make himself look any worse. He’s a human being who is attempting to capitalize on the brutal murder of his ex-wife, the mother of his children, a crime he was accused of and while acquitted, there is substantial evidence to say that he did it. Its pretty sick.
But I’ll still watch. 
I think it’s already a given that OJ is the scum of the earth.
Yeah, the OJ thing is like when O’Reilly defends waterboarding by asking where the outrage about Al Quaeda’s torture of prisoners is. It’s a given that the murderer is slime. It’s the people who are currently in the process of sinking to his level that grabs our attention.
This is the kind of shit that the old Dennis Miller would rant till his voice chords broke. Nailing every single point in the process.
I say that in the past tense since the current Dennis Miller left his balls in W’s mouth around 2003.
As digusting as this is, I will watch just to see how Orenthal explains himself.
And that’s why Fox keeps airing this stuff. At some point you have take a stand and not watch these shows. Tell Fox it’s NOT okay to exploit people for gain. It’s NOT okay to show completely offensive content because you know people’s curiosity will get the better of them. Every one of us has the ability to make that choice and its interesting to see poeple justify why they will watch it. I’m not judging anyone – if you are comfortable with your decision to watch, do so – but I find it hard to reconcile someone saying they find the whole thing disgusting and then support the show by watching it.

OJ Simpson: the funniest man in America.
It’s not a big revelation or anything, since everyone (including me) believe that OJ did it even though he was acquited. And OJ knows that he won’t be prosecuted again due to double jeopardy, so he can say whatever he wants. I do think OJ will get a large sum of money, otherwise he won’t have bothered.
What’s the over/under on Goldman’s dad OJ’ing OJ after this thing airs?
I’m not outraged, I mean look at the world today! I will surely not be watching this, I have no interest in OJ whatsoever. He needs money, pure and simple. I would also speculate that since he got off, he gets some perverse glee out of getting as much publicity as he can while being “bulletproof”, minus the civil suit of course.
What I find amusing is how things like this reflect on people as much as the controversy itself. I know some people don’t give a shit and will watch and defend their right to do so. Others will be outraged at how low the media and the audience have sunk.
What annoys me is the people who are so convinced that we’re numb to everything and can find entertainment in the darkest and most vile subjects, because, hey it ain’t happening to me! “You know you’ll watch it.”
No, in fact I won’t watch it. I don’t need to indulge in a Pavlovian response in relation to the media and “popular” opinion. Just because shit is on tv doesn’t mean we’re obligated to watch, not everything dark and dour in the world is a fucking video clip to be devoured by cynics.
