My dad, a tv critic, got the first four NEW episodes today.
I shit you not.
But he isn’t letting me watch them because they have nekked lesbians in it.
I hate your Dad.
Seriously though, don’t ruin it for yourself. It’s his job to watch them, but don’t you go and watch them before everyone else.

Seriously, though, there is no way I would be able to stop myself from absconding with that tape. The temptation would be too great.
Oh, I had watched about half of the first ep before the naked lesbians showed up.

How did you come to this conclusion?
Sopranos is a show created for the medium of television. Watching an advance tape of episodes is nothing like watching an internet bootleg. How would the viewing experience be compromised by watching these episodes?
When you wait so long for something and then watch it in advance because you can’t wait, it’s a cop-out.
Obviously his Dad is doing it for his job, so i’m fine with that.
To me, each episode stands alone and is completely movie-like in quality so IMHO you spoil the experience for yourself, even if it’s just one episode.
I can’t speak for everyone else, but I can’t imagine who wouldn’t want to see it on premiere night when everyone else does.
Maybe I just take television more seriously than a lot of people…especially HBO.
Different strokes for different folks, I guess.

When you dont have HBO, let alone cable, watching episodes in advance doesnt really seem like that big of a deal. I mean, i have seen every episode only on DVD anyways.
But i guess im one of the minority of poor folk.
Like Devin mentioned in the Season 3 DVD review, it’s physically IMPOSSIBLE to watch only one episode at a time. I’ve grown so accustomed to watching at least two in a row that watching a brand new season, one a week, will be HELL.
Well, hey … look at me! I saw MOST of Season 1 on borrowed VHS tapes two years ago.
Season 2 had been given to me as a Christmas present, but I never watched it (always intending to pick up Season 1 first).
Today, I picked up Season 1 and Season 3 on DVD.
I’ve got 39 Sopranos episodes, only about 11 of which I’ve actually seen. I’m starting late tonight with a viewing of Season 1, Episode 1 …
