I just saw the Trailer of Chuck, seemingly a parody of Alias. I think it looks really neat.
Sadly enough, I find myself with the forlorn hope that this doesn’t suck.
I think the guys at Best Buy deserve a little shout-out now and again, you know?
The first episode is promising: funny, with likable characters and a decent set-up for an ongoing story. You can never be sure whether a show will get better or worse as it goes along, but this one is definitely worth a shot.
The female lead looking like a younger Naomi Watts doesn’t hurt either…
The brother/sister chemistry just isn’t there. The sister is too distracting. And by that, I mean HOT.
So…what you’re saying is if they put *your* sister in there, it’d be fine?
I didn’t find the performances between the two believable.
Since she appears to be about the 5th most important person in the show, it didn’t really bother me much. The three leads worked very well together.
For a while I thought this was called Mitch for some reason.
Didn’t look interesting so I didn’t watch it. My time is too tied up in Top Chef and Madden anyways.
Forget about Chuck’s sister, there are ninja,car chases, and an attractive blonde super agent, in a comedy.
I watched the pilot this weekend, after watching it on Entertainment on Demand through TWC.
I liked it alot. I hope this series sticks around. Kinda has a cheezy Hackers vibe to it (which I like).
I get sick of thee hour long dramas, and it feels like some networks are ashamed to have comedies. This looks funny, though I feel dirty supporting lead-in to “Heroes”.
I feel just fine supporting anything with a Batdance joke.
Just caught this last night as an On Demand Preview and was really quite surprised by just how much fun the pilot was. I can’t say that I’ve heard of any of the cast members aside from Baldwin but the show had the right balance of comedy, action and potential romance between the Geek and Agent.
I’ll certainly check out the coming episodes and if they can be as much breezy fun as the pilot I just may have a show to keep me out of Lost withdrawal until January.
I loathe Heroes but I have no problem supporting the shows that bookend it.
Oh, and the female agent is just insanely hot. Yum.

You realize that there is no universe where that makes any sense, right?
Watching Chuck at 8 but not watching Heroes at 9 would actually HURT Heroes. Part of how shows are evaluated is based on whether they gain or lose viewers from the show before them.

Yeah, NBC’s monday lineup just sandwiched Heroes with two painfully beautiful girls (Journeyman’s Moon Bloodgood is the other). Those two make the Cheerleader look average at best.

And after only one episode I say that Chuck’s Yvonne Strzechowski might be the most attractive woman on prime time television these days.
