Tony ‘The Fist’ Delpino, did you see the sketch last Thursday That had the actor auditioning for a voice-over for a commercial? It was one of the funniest ones they have done. I laughed from beginning to end. It was one of those times when Jamie stood back to allow the mark to take center stage. Jamie was like a conductor of sorts. I loved the irony of the mark unwittingly being an actor in a sketch at the same time that he is aware of auditioning for what he thinks is a real commercial. I think I laughed the hardest when the mark was on break in the waiting room, and couldn’t stop saying his line over and over.
Yeah, I loved when Jamie kept getting mad at him and saying he was doing it wrong.
The one where he was sitting in house and eating a sandwich while the people were doing his yardwork was great, too.
I love it when he acts like he’s been “hobbled”
How Jamie gets away with stuff is amazing, but he does, with a few close calls of course. For instance, the Lou Hollander driving instructor revisited where the mark was a gang-banger who threatened him with bodily harm, and the horny Italian waiter from last season, where you could tell jamie was scared at the end. He has a disarming personality. That, coupled with the fact that he treats everyone with genuine apologetic affection at the end, lets the marks feel honestly duped and ultimately, likeable instead of stupid or punished. Very different from other reality shows, I think. Of course, you don’t really need to analyze this show to enjoy it, but I analyze the heck out of it. It’s kind of weird, I guess, but it intrigues me that way.
His show is one of the most entertaining shows on the WB if not the best.
WB friggin sucks but JKX is pretty damn funny.

I have to admit, that is funny.
The only thing that will help the ratings of his show however, will be to move it to a decent time slot. The WB is getting eaten alive Thursday nights.
Oh yes, when the camera suddenly goes to the auditioning actor in the alligator costume, that was icing on the cake. Also, the many hidden camera angles, especially the one from below, looking up the actor’s nose, while he was doing the goofy and the baby version of his lines.
I loved that too. It was only the second time that someone actually knew who Jamie Kennedy was at the end. I have read in interviews with Jamie where he was asked if he would soon no longer be able to do hidden camera sketches because people would start recognizing him. He insisted that he would love to be so successful, and that he only considers himself B-famous. That was a year ago though, and I think he will eventually have to take the show somewhere other than LA and Las Vegas, like out where I live, in the Pacific Northwest, where people are not used to seeing anyone famous.
I did watch him on Oprah, but I missed that comment. Unfortunately, I forgot to tell my TIVO to keep the recording until I delete, so I lost it. It was so cool to see him dressed up like that. He was so quiet, and just seemed to look and listen (except for when he watched the rerun of the casting couch; He seemed shocked at the sight of himself, and exclaimed that he was going to hell).
We need breast-showing neck-snappers.

Hem, I have to wait an hour and fifteen minutes to watch! Another dentist sketch? This could be a regular. I saw two small trailers for tonight; one, where he plays the old man again, only this time he is in a wheelchair, working his last day as a waiter. In the other, all I remember is Jamie in a wedsding dress asking some guy if he looks fat. It’ hard to wait!
Wow, this episode is one that really justifies the name “Experiment”. They couldn’t have picked men any more ill-suited for going in drag than those marks Jamie was trying to recruit. I love it when Jamie brings the people out on stage sometimes to honor them for being such good sports, and in this case, for halfway considering having a sex-change operation in order to do their job! The accomplice department does a good job of picking people. My favorite sketch was the old man, which I think is one of Jamie’s best characters. You can tell that it is one of the characters that he created and worked hard on. I was impressed with Jamie’s drunk dentist performance, because it is actually difficult for a sober person to be convincing as a drunk. It seems he is not afraid to do despicable characters as well as likeable ones. The show pushes limits at times, and I think it is brave as well as funny.
Good laughs. Only now, since they didn’t show the sketch where Jamie is in a wedding dress, that I saw a trailer of, I am wondering when I will get to see it.
