devito is literally joining the cast. he’s going to play denise and dee’s father. i read that he’s going to shoot all of his scenes in about a 2 week span.

Based on how FX has released their other shows that premiere in the summer, I would guess this would be out sometime in the late spring or early summer of 2006.

I just started watching this show. Holy shit is it great.
I’m watching the episode right now where the guy dies in the bar and Charlie casually comments on our throwaway culture of putting parents in nursing homes. The way he goes from that line to casually hosing off the booth were the guy died made me just about piss myself.
Yeah this show is pretty funny. Reminds me of CYE, except with a bunch of losers from Philly instead of the Larry David.

The scene where Charlie and Mac are talking to the musuem boss about how much they can get for the Nazi outfit is classic. This is probably the biggest guilty pleasure for me on TV right now. As for the second season, FX’s website says the 2nd season starts in June. Can’t wait!

Great, goldberg, I’m glad you like it too. I fucking love it.
And the episode titles are the best. Like the one your describing-- “The gang finds a dead guy”.
And of course, my favorite episode, “underage drinking: a growing national concern.” And who can forget such classics as, “charlie got molested”, or “The gang gets racist”
And on another note, are we sure devito is still involved? I was reading some article about him, and it mentioned his upcoming projects, and the didnt mention IASIP.
And anyone heard anything new about the dvd release?

There’s nothing guilty about it for me. Right now I’m scouring the internet to find the picture of Charlie answering the door in the Nazi uniform while eating a banana.
Are they re-showing the first season on FX? If so, when please. I missed a few epsiodes during the first run.
Not yet. A friend lent me the episodes.
Yeah really like this show too…much better than that one they showed about the people with eating disorders.

Which ones have you seen/missed? I believe there are only 7 total, in the first season.
Yeah, that shot of him in the uniform on the couch wearing the hat at the end is great, too.
Also, some of the show’s finest moments are in that hallway. In Gun Fever, the scenes with Charlie and the landlord, and also the scene where they’re just walking down the hallway for some reason make me laugh my ass off. Theyre just walking down the hall, weapon drawn, like its no big deal.

As for the guilty pleasure part, I call it that because (to me) it’s one of those shows that I shouldn’t like (best “friends” who treat each other like shit and jokes that are so far beyond politically correct and tasteless that you feel bad for laughing at them) and the formula has been done before, but this show is one of the few shows that is willing to go balls out black that I can’t help but love it.
Just saw a commercial for the second season on FX. Looks as great as ever and it premieres on Thursday, June 29th.
