Yeah, that sold me right there.
It’s hard to tell with such a small video, but you can definitely see the visual difference that them shooting in HD has created. The colour and depth in some of the shots is a world away from the grainy, stagey, early Ecclestone episodes. Guess that’s the difference that five years make.
I’m willing to give Matt Smith the benefit of the doubt. Can’t wait to see this now.
There’s a new BBC USA trailer that is pretty huge, giving all kinds of good shit up.
Didn’t notice the new trailer until just now. Very nice. I don’t know if its youtube compression but Matt sounds utterly dweeby in the trailers though.
Also Mr Adam you need to find some copies of the Kevin Bishop show. Largely because despite being a shitty sketchshow, with some occasional gems, it featured Karen Gillen in all sorts of states of undress.

Also, I’ve been really getting into the second doctor lately, and judging by the trailer - so has Matt Smith.
Really excited for this. Some of the stuff I’ve heard about the series just sounds absolutely fantastic and kind of insane, lots of high concept ideas floating around.
Also everything I’ve heard about Matt Smith suggests that he’s not an uber fan like Tennant was but that he is kind of genuinely nuts in real life. It should be interesting to see a genuine eccentric in the role again.

Going through old Throughton and Pertwee era episodes lately have got me really psyched for the new series. Smith seems very promising, though he looks like Odo from Deep Space Nine.
