While I think the last season finale would have been a fine place to end the entire show, I certainly don’t mind another season of Larry David ruining everyone’s life including his own.
It starts September 9th. The only promo I’ve seen is where they go behind the scenes and I was certainly cracking up as he declared a “colon contest” with Richard Lewis.
Man, this is when it kills me that I don’t have HBO. I’m either going to have to mooch of friends or just wait for DVD.
This and “Always Sunny” starting back up the same week is just plain lovely.
My roomate had told me last season was the last, so seeing the promo for this was a welcome surprise. I can’t wait!
Steve Coogan is apparently doing a guest shot in at least one episode, should be great.
this is great news. I had heard last year that David was writing more episodes, but then there was nothing. and then he and his wife filed for divorce and i figured it wouldn’t happen. i wonder if the show will have Larry & Cheryl split up? that would probably be a disaster.
Isn’t it time that HBO becomes real TV?

I’m sick and tired of the best shows in history arriving in my home for the first time on DVD 12 months after everyone else has seen them.

Anyway, can’t wait for the new season of Curb. As you can probably tell I’m a huge fan of the show. LD is my hero.

The Newlywed game scene had me going pretty good, anytime an entire group turns against Larry is golden stuff. “That was a dumb answer Larry”
The highlight of the Newlywed Game was Larry getting up and yelling “Fuck you! Fuck you!”
“He knowingly served us penis.”
I’m so glad it’s back.

See the better idea (which of course wouldn’t be as funny for the show) would be to call the people and ask them if there was anything you could bring to the party, and then they could tell you the party was last night, you’d apologize, they wouldn’t feel obligated to ask you to stay since you came all the way there, and perhaps you’d make plans for some other time to meet up. At it’s base Larry’s idea isn’t that horrible, it’s just not executed well.

Yeah but the thing is Larry was trying to avoid making a phone call, for whatever reason (he mentions this in the locker room with Jeff and Richard). He only pops in because he’s already on his way to somewhere else.
And that’s why everyone hates Larry.
