Confessions of a MAD MEN Virgin

Touche. You are right.

Peggy approach to advertising is very similar to Don as well. She and him both like to carefully think and wait for inspiration.

Pete trying so desperately to be an Alpha Male and failing. He genuinely has the right ideas with regards to business but doesn’t have the charisma or people skills to pull it off.

Continuing my watch into Season 4.

Betty is especially shrill and useless this season.

Betty’s annoying but S4 does feature The Suitcase, one of the best eps of TV ever, imo.

Yup, i saw that. Great one.

And Ms Blankenship died! “She was an Astronaut.”.

Daniel’s mom from The Karate Kid, if you didn’t recognize her (which I didn’t at first.) That tripped me out for some reason.

Is Season 4 the one with the big Jared Harris episode?

Where he goes out with Don to watch Godzila? Yes.

No no. Not that one.

They go to a whorehouse, ya?

No they visit Chernobyl.

I think what season 4 shows is that Don really needs some kind of regular support structure at home.

He never really loved or needed Betty but his kids were very important to him. Seeing him all alone in his apartment, his mind wanders off.

Wasn’t it Gamera?

It was supposed to be Godzilla, but Toho turned them down.

On yet another rewatch… I like Ted Chaough dammit.

Finished all 7 seasons yesterday.

What a journey it has been. I think the finale left most of the characters (except Betty) in a better place. Peggy has Stan. Joan is starting her own business. That little weasel Pete has reunited with Trudy.

As for Don, I doubt he’ll change drastically. But he’s in a better place enough for him to come up with that classic Coke commercial.
It was hard seeing him self-destruct with all those pointless affairs in seasons 6 and 7.

Despite his self destructive tendencies (which he probably continued beyond where we left him), always imagined Don outlived everyone.

What do you all think of Megan?

Jessica Pare is pretty but she’s such a blank. Megan’s just feels off despite the large amount of screen time she gets from Season 4 onwards.

They made a good pairing.

You knew where it was headed (because Don gonna Don) and it’s always heartbreaking for me to witness.

I’m sure we’ll see Don remarried in the '80s era revival you know is inevitable.

Watched it with my son … season five’s finale still feels like a series finale.

The season 6 finale did as well. That absurdly poignant moment between Don and Sally chokes me up just thinking about it.
