I wonder what Charisma Carpenrter did that made them kill off Cordelia? Very Sad. The first origional Scooby to die and stay dead. Was nice to see the old Cordelia one last time. She added alot to the show.
WTF is up w/ Lindsey leaving so early? Should be interesting to see where the series goes now. Eve should be gone to Line of Fire. Gunn stepped up and would stay regardless of Angel. Seeing them at odds would b nice but it appears Angel will work w/ W&H.
Next week looks great. You can’t go wrong fighting Nazi’s. Now if Harrison Ford could only make a cameo.
It was a bitter-sweet goodbye to Cordy. I knew she was dead the moment the phone started ringing while she and Angel were saying goodbye. TPTB gave her one last chance to help Angel and she had to know that, but she still couldn’t tell him that she loved him? That was the only part that kinda sucked. The speculation on what might have been was poignant.
It was a good episode, IMO, but I was surprised to see the Lindsey/Eve storyline wrapped(??) up so soon. So much for this being the big over-arcing story for the season…
Does this at least mean we’re done with the self-doubt over the direction the team has gone? If it’s going to work, they at least need to believe it themselves.

I think the feeling was her character had run its course…she went from high school bitch to higher being…pretty damn big character arc. No I didn’t exactly like that she died, it did give her part of the story closure.

Good point, but I think Charisma believed that Cordy had run her course. Of course, if you believe the whole Joss/Charisma feud, then the previous statement is bunk, but I’ll stand by it.
Also, don’t get me wrong, sad to see her go, this episode felt like one from season one or two, classic stuff with her presence.
A decent enough send-off for Cordy, seeing as her character really got fucked after season 2. I think Greenwalt bascially wrote her character into a corner that they weren’t clever enough to extract her from. Of course in the Buffyverse, no one is really dead for ever, are they?

I’m sad to see Cordy go too, but you can’t say that wasn’t a terrific and elegant sendoff. It seems pretty clear that Charisma was done with the show (note how she kept vanishing for longer and longer periods in the last two seasons) so it’s not fair to blame the writers. Like the death of Anya (which was a thousand times more painful to me, BTW)–the fact is, Emma Caulfield wanted it, so they gave it to her.
And I can see why Cordy would not have wanted to express her love. She didn’t want to lay that trip on Angel before heading off to the great beyond.
Heck, her “one last goodbye” is almost a reference to all those characters who DIDN’T get to give a proper goodbye.
Anyway, while I think Lindsay is kaput (“trapped forever in a dimension of pain” counts as “dead” in my book…unless hell literally freezes over or something…) But Eve’s still got a trick or two up her sleeve. Plus, they haven’t really resolved the whole “two vampires with souls fucking up the prophecy” thing.
I read what may be a huge spoiler on the AICN talkbacks last week. It was probably the same one. (Didn’t read it in this thread, thank God) WHY can’t people just fucking watch the show as it comes? What the hell pleasure do you get out of knowing everything that’s going to happen?

Yeah, I deliberatly stayed away from the Angel spoilers after Lindsay came back. I’m glad I did, too, otherwise I might have known about tonight’s eppy and it wouldn’t have been as powerful for me as it might have been.
